I like movie music. I suspect the movie can make the song better in some cases. But many movie songs can stand on their own as well. I like that Gran Torino song I posted a little while ago. Here’s another one I like. No idea what they’re singing about but I like the music. And it was a great movie too.

Well, I guess I can see that. That girl looked pretty young to me. I never had a girl (regrettably), but if I did I would be more inclined to take her to The Little Mermaid before a Disturbed concert. It would be pure torture for me to sit thru that movie but then that would pale in comparison to the utter thrill I would get out of seeing my little girl being thoroughly entertained by a beautiful half-fish. But, that’s just me.

My son was playing guitar by 8yo, wanting to go to a concert by 11, but "No." After his 16th birthday, Rush returned from their long hiatus in Hartford, CT. At his request, we were there (he's still a fan, 20 years later).

Yes, she was too young to be at a concert, especially a band like Disturbed (but ANY concert, for the record).

Hartford? That was their very first concert after their hiatus, if I’m not mistaken.

You are correct. It was their first show since all the bad stuff. A friend of mine knew some of the crew, and just before the encores began, they came and grabbed us. They said they'd heard it was Dan's first concert and the band thought he'd enjoy being right up front on the floor.

I wish I snapped a pic of his face, both at that moment and through the entire encore medley. The adrenaline from it all carried us all through the late & long drive home (Hartford to Stamford), then for an hour or two AFTER we got home.

It was a freaking awesome night. :headbang:

Something slightly different but SO very cool, whether someone is a fan of Disturbed or not. I am, but I truly don't believe that matters here.

So @DPLongo22 I never heard of Disturbed. That clip with the little girl was great, and I took a quick look at YouTube, which I try to avoid, but get sucked into for music. Quick look only brought up Sounds of Silence. Wow. Thanks. What else can you point me to?
