Dynamite! Just the rhythm took me back to some late nights between 11th & 12th Aves.

THIS took me back too. GOTTA love the Devo outfits on the guys!!! The 80s were certainly something. Exactly what, I'm not sure, but something...

Time to shift to movies.

List of movies I've seen a thousand times because I have to stop and watch it every time I see it come up:

Shawshank Redemption
Gladiator
Man On Fire
Road to Perdition
The Thing (v. 1982)
alien/Aliens
The Untouchables
Gran Torino
No Country for Old Men
King Kong (v. 1933)
Skyfall
1917

Of these, I'd have a hard time picking my favorite. There are others I did not list that are damn good too. These are just the ones that come to mind. Perhaps the one that I find most perfect is No Country for Old Men. Saw it first time not long after it came out. Thought it was good. Saw it some years later again and thought it was incredible. The acting (dialogue) is as good as it gets. How Hollywood nailed the way West Texans talk is quite an accomplishment (the cute wife is from Scotland...go figure and the villain is a Spaniard who learned English just prior to making the movie; these two made the movie). Let's face it, Tommy Lee Jones, Woody Harrelson, and Josh Brolin are A-list actors. But it's the rest of the cast that smoke. Even the ones in the bit roles like the gas station owner and the lady trailer park attendant..."Did you not hear me? I aint got no information"!

Anyway, that's my list. What's yours?

I can't say that I have one consistent list. Off the top of my head, and in no particular order >

Field of Dreams
Gran Torino
Greenbook
Godfather 1 & 2 (in chronological order)
Shawshank Redemption
Alien (NOT Aliens!)
Matrix
Sixth sense
Clint Eastwood Spaghetti Westerns (Fistful, GB&U, Drifter, Outlaw Josey Wales, etc.)
Green Mile

I know that a ton will hit my brain the moment I hit Send, but this will do for now.

For reasons I've never completely understood, Signs has always been a remote-dropper for me. It's not THAT great of a movie, but it pulls me in every time.

"Swing away, Merrill!"

Has there ever been anyone larger in Hollywood than Clint Eastwood?

SO tempting.... ("DON'T DO IT, DAVID!!!")

Okay. Phew. Recapturing self-control. ;)

In this regard, and to me, no. Between Dirty Harry and The Man with No Name, he was bigger than life when I was still knee-high to the world. He still is, with Gran Torino being one that will give me chills until the day I die.

I wasn't around for Cagney & Bogart, but he's a major player on my all-time favorite male actors.

Clint Eastwood
Gene Hackman
Denzel Washington
Jack Nicholson
Morgan Freeman
Paul Newan

Like all things, there are others, and my order of preference changes with my moods, but I'll lock into pretty much anything with those guys.

When we get to females, let me know. Admittedly, I'm a bit more "shallow" there. Not TOTALLY, but I'd be lying if I didn't own up to it.

Think of all the movies he produced and directed. Million Dollar Baby, Unforgiven, ones we already mentioned, Changeling, Letters from Iwo Jima, Flags of our Fathers, American Sniper, on and on. That’s just a small sample.
