I'm in North Carolina and vape 60/40 pg/VG in my Kabukis, nary a problemo with flooding...maybe double check that your coil is good 'n tight into the base? Maybe double check the grommets on the coil, just throwing darts at a chalkboard here.Question for Kabuki users who vape around 9 watts (or lower). Do you find in the summer and vaping on hot days or in a hot car, that you have to crank up the watts a little to avoid flooding and gurgling as heat thins the juice or increases pressure in the tank?
I've been vaping 11.4 watts for months and haven't had to mess with it, but last couple of days, gone down to 9.6 watts. I used to vape 9 watts and remember last summer sometimes having to go 9.6 watts helped (or more, can't remember) on hot days or in a warm/hot car. So at 9.6, maybe I still won't have to mess with it, dunno. Juice is unflavored 50/50 on 1.8 ohm.
The only time I've had an issue is if I leave my mod in the car while shopping...maybe ten to fifteen minutes, and I leave my windows cracked a bit. Still, the car is an oven when I get back into it, then I might get a slight gurgle. Usually my mod goes right into the holster on my belt so exposure to the heat is minimal. But then again, I'll carry my mod around like that while doing stuff around outside the house and don't experience any problems...maybe I've just been lucky.Enaud ... I DO play around a bit with coil tightness. The reason being I sometimes see a drop of liquid on the (ProVape) mod pin and on the bottom of the (Kabuki) coil from time to time (not always) when I remove the tank from the mod. I tighten the top and bottom of the tank well too ... I have one of those gripper thingies for tanks and coils that rebuilders use. But I never have had the coil stay in the top part when removing the bottom of the Kabuki from the top to fill or replace a coil. So I guess I'm not over tightening the tank to the mod or anything.
EDIT: NC can get pretty warm. Not that much different than Lower Alabama I guess. But the greater commonality is that you and Zen Knitter BOTH have higher PG than VG and NEITHER of you have the (minor) issues I have in the summer. Might be something to it.
My minor issues are all car related and I usually leave the mod in the car while shopping. BUT can experience the minor problems just going down the road in the hot summer time. I rarely use AC and have the driver window down. Grew up without AC in a car and just don't use it much. Weirding around the yard ... no problems. It's a heat, tank pressure, PG/VG ratio thing or something. Too much science !!!
I laughed out loud Kat. Needed that. Thanks !!!... and cheers !!!
You leave a mod in da kar??? You shop without it???
I'm stupefied.
Thanks ZK !!! ... as I understand it ... PG carries flavor better than VG ... VG is the cloud producer part of the equation. So, 70/30 maybe for better flavor(?). If that is true I could see a flavored fuel producer recommending 70/30. Wonder if there's any other reason? I ALWAYS vape unflavored. Also didn't know about the ProVape recommendation ... wonder if it was just their recommendation for their fuel in particular and/or something else to do with the Kabuki and Nautilus coils?

Well, I'm a little quirky about following directions to the letter. Medical field for 30yrs. And when I bought my first PROVARI and Nauti from Provape they instructed using 70/30 in the naughty and Kabukis. I quickly switched to Kabukis, and followed their rules. And big plus for me, I change coils avg. 3 mos. someone pointed out that Provarifuel is the cleanest on the market, so I'm thinking that MAY be the reason for such coil longevity. That and the 70/30

No faster way to get a thread closed than to bring up clones.![]()

I leave mine in the car. Here is the problem. Cash in front pocket, wallet in one of back pockets. Two pockets left and I have a heavy Radius, cell, and car keys. One pocket short.
