I use the harder rings with the polycarbonate tanks, I've got a bag of like a hundred of them, don't recall the size, I chopped them on my band saw with a chaser piece of scrap wood and then sanded the edges and de burred the cuts with a sharp knife. The critter is a bird, been there nightly , I don't mind it being there, in fact, it's kind of cool that it found that little corner to settle into...
Cool !!! :)

My Mountain
When I come home from my daughter's home and her two beasts, I get the same thing. Total inspection by he noses of a couple of very suspicious canines, it takes a few minutes but it has to be done. Every time even though they have all played, run and chest bumped each other hundreds of time.

Animals can get jealous I think "like seriously? You let an other animal touch you?"

My cat gets jealous of my husband's attention to me.. then, when she gets to curl up with him she looks at me like "ha! He's mine and you can't have him!"

Animals are funny...

Kabuki glass ... I've broken 3 (or 4) in the last year. One accident, the rest improper handling. I do have one polycarbonate sleeve but much prefer the fused quartz glass.

One (1) Fused Quartz Glass OR Polycarbonate ... $9-10 (ZFO)
Polycarbonate ... $7 (Gumption Depot Inc) $10 for Quartz

I haven't seen it mentioned, but I noticed a week or so ago that ProVari Fuel (under their accessories tab) has 10 packs of ... "Our replacement glass is proudly made in the USA of laboratory quality borosilicate glass that has been cut and polished to our exacting standards" ... $69.95 for 10. Sounds like a pretty good deal, all things considered.

I still have several spares on hand. Wonder if prices are going to go lower? Seems ZFO recently knocked a buck off their single replacements. Sign of anything? I hope not.

EDIT: ... and ordered a 10 pack (free shipping) LOL. Not taking any chances. Kabuki is "MY" tank.

I keep thinking I need to order some extras, but I've never broken glass yet..

Someday ill buy some replacements though. I'd prefer the quartz myself..

You ever listen to Greta Van Fleet?

Unreal 4 song EP. I swear to god I am listening to early Led Zeppelin.

Amazingly talented 18-21 year olds from Frankenmuth. Gonna be huge.
Never heard of her, love Led Zep, never heard of Frankenmuth.
Don't suppose you have any links to a song or vid do you?

A bird? You've gotta be pulling our legs! What's the tail?

The band is named after an 80 year old lady apparently. All males in the band.

Frankenmuth is super weird. Cool place to visit as it is Christmas there all year long basically. :w00t:

Here's a good link.....

The bird is hunched up into the corner, tucked in like a ball, with the tail hanging down, the pic isn't that bad is it. It was taken with an iPod and a flashlight lol, maybe it is that bad...

They are so "ripping off" Zeppelin riffs, that it would bother me...except...

a) They legitimately capture the "feel" of it, it's honest, it's a legit groove and not just rote copycatting...
and
b) Zeppelin, of course, ripped people off all the time. lol

I like it.

North of Detroit, way south of Heaven
Frankenmuth - a German town. Breakfast at Tiffany's. World Expo Of Beer. Ice Festival, etc. etc. The stories I could tell. Saw a band in Frankenmuth one Halloween night called, "Tongue." They were dressed in KISS make-up and costumes. Got a kick out of them playing, "Smokin' In The Boys Room." Tongue covering KISS covering Motley Crue covering Brownsville Station.

It's the little things. I'm pleased the airflow controls of the Kabuki align so well with the top plate retention screws of the Radius.
I have 4 Kabuki and 2 Radius and no other combination matches this well. As though THIS Kabuki was made for THIS Radius.
Not that I'm OCD. Just find it pleasing.

Not at all. The pic was fine. It's the conclusion that it's a bird. A wild turkey?
I think you may have found the missing link between reptile and bird, and if I get the "science" right, between them and humming beings. I can hummmm.
