Never rely too much upon one supplier or one customer. They will own you.

I'm not surprised. Johnson Creek was my first liquid supplier. I liked their Silverthorn and Tennessee. Vaped them most of my first year. Now I think it's horrible. Their association with Blu was gonna kill them They got too big and could never properly downsize after Blu told them to take a hike. Too much overhead.

Exactly. Had to figure much of their overhead was due to Blu. They disappear and you're up a Johnson creek.
Seems a lot of posts in them closing threads are from folks that " used" to buy from them... Not many OMG what am I going to do now posts... there will be others as time goes by...

I think you're right. JC was kind of the standard back 5 years ago. I was happy with their juice. Then I found another supplier and never looked back.

It seems like perhaps the FDA may have played a hand in their demise, having their flavor vendor scared off by possible regulations, but there must have been a bunch of other missteps to lead to bankruptcy.

I've had it on my mind that the next wave of failures will be brought about by the registration part of the regs. I know a local girl who developed a juice line in concert with the shop owner, and she told me many months back that when the registration part was due, they were just going to walk away from it. Take the money and run style.

A lot will depend on how helpful or not the FDA chooses to be in helping some of these folks comply, but when I see a vendor, with the wrong address on their forum page here, It gets me wondering how well they are going to do dotting them I's and crossing them T's on their registration forms...

@Katdarling uses 28ga wire on her Doggystyle builds. Maybe she has some thoughts that might help Anna :)

She does. They might. ;)

That cheater glass is going on my Christmas list!

You (and you all) might want to check these out. DPL got a pair and SWEARS by them.

Thanks you guys that was all super helpful! I may grab some RTAs today since I feel so crappy anyway, lack of success won't bother me much, LOL. I wish I could sleep through this one, but that doesn't seem to be happening. I want that magnifier glass too, as with my magnification glasses, I keep reaching 3 feet away for what is in my lap, LOL. I really want to get Le Doggystyle working, I've coiled it so many times I'm really finding it to be French, if we can agree the French can be annoying (LOL, I did find it very French that they buried half the deck inside the deck, I mean, that part was JUST unnecessary, if funny.) I wound up watching a tutorial that was a pair of disembodied hands just disassembling the darn thing then coiling it, set to ominous background music. It was unsettling. :)

Anna

Anna, tho I've seen some of your posts that dealt with you and Le Dawg probs, I believe the issue was that you had a hard time coiling it due to hand tremors. So, perhaps and only MAYBE will this info of mine be at all helpful.

I decided to coil one just this last minute before posting so that I might be refreshed and possibly add some good counsel.

I used a 28g wire, ID 2.8mm (1.3Ω). I was able to screw the legs in nearly instantaneously, and perhaps that's because I used the Earl method of connecting the coil. I did the legs counter clockwise, and that seemed to just do the trick for me.

Have you tried that method? Who knows, dear one. Maybe that will cure some ills?

Also, I only raise the coil a mm or 2 above the air flow. I find better flavor is achieved that way for me. :)

Lol, I got a pair of Baush & Lomb visors last year, three different lense sets :) the focal length can be annoying with them.

Others still use this mod? Was thinking it was dead
There are 42 things I tell myself I need to:

Update, upgrade, replace, refresh, rebuild, modernize, revise, improve, enhance, boost, supplant, alter, recover, change, revive, revitalize, fix, patch, touch up, get rid of, destroy, swap, sell, overhaul, place on the curb, buy, obtain, appropriate, rent, scale back, expand on, ask opinions about, ask permission for, keep up with, forget about, upload, download, look into, consider, explain, comprehend, apologize for ...

... my vape isn't one of them. I am the Others ... You are Outcast ;)
