Often, as I am now in my autumnal years, I need a boost. I have thought of getting one of those "sling-a-gramps" lift chairs for that needed extra boost. Odd, it seems only yesterday that I was getting a booster seat for my daughter, now she can get one for me.
We start our lives completely dependent on others for our survival. If we are fortunate to live long enough, that is how we end our lives. Born wearing diapers, die wearing diapers. What a life!! :)

Wow those BREAK??? I have so many of them that were several generation hand me downs. I don't think I've ever dropped one though, they're so HEAVY. Which is why I like solid in a mod.

I'm sorry about your pan, those only get better with age.... But good luck with a new one.

@xstitch dont toss it, I think they can be welded. Worth finding out?

Going to look into welding, we have friends that might take a look. If not, I was thinking of target practice with my 9 mm [emoji15]

I doubt it will be much good at lifting the pan to pour, but would still give you some use from it, I'd personally get a couple of them, two hands is better than one ;)

It can be welded but there is a trick to it. You will have to find someone that know how to weld cast iron. Had a antique barber chair years ago. The cast iron foot rest broke and I had a guy weld it up. The weld has to be hammered (like on a anvil) to relieve the stress on the weld join.
