I just did the math , been a while and was curious. In a couple days, I come up with $22,828. My old Camel lights were just about 5 bucks a pack when I was visiting my local convinience store every day, and was consuming 2.5 packs per day, give or take:shock:

Every once in a while I drive out that way to stop in and talk to Moe, the Indian guy who opened that little store on the corner of a country crossroads.

Looking at that number, the pile of vape stuff that either didn't work out or is sitting waiting for maybe if / some day...and my ProVari and REO collection, all are peanuts in comparison.

While I don't spend what I was 2 years ago on vaping, I have been buying a few things, that to me are much easier to replace than my Provari's. I did not stock pile them like I should have, I just use them at home, and carry the replaceable devises when I am out and about. The hard part seems to be finding a well made long lasting devise, for this purpose. The steam engine, seems to be fairly good, but the button seems to be the weak point, it is also fairly heavy. I have also been considering a Dicodes as an option for this but I am not sure which one, and I am also a bit short on cash, so it might be a while before I order anything else. :|

KAS

Even the cheaper stuff is pretty good these days, KAS. I've put the vaporesso SWAGS through the ringer, and they just keep come up firing. They were less than $30, at least when I got them. JACs and the Squid DB both appear to be built for the LONG hauls too, neither of which are bank-breakers.

Even the $20 EH Pro 101 is holding up quite well, but I don't push it very hard so I can't be as confident with my comments. It's a knock-off Dicodes, without all the features. Vapes great though, especially considering its price point.

You'll find something when you're ready. We certainly aren't hurting for options these days (subject to change).

I'm curious about the Swags and the EH Pro 101, gotta get the PC fired up to do a highlight and right click search...

I'll give you the downsides of both, to hopefully save you something.

SWAGS: TC under 30w is a no-go. Obviously not an issue for me, but it's The Big Con on that device.

EH Pro 101: The menu is a bit funky, but "learnable", and it has an auto-shutoff (I think it's 30 mins).

I'm very pleased with both, and they each serve their purposes well for me. Subjective, ya. :D

So it will work under 30watt, just no TC in that range that I am always using, 8-9 ?

And did they send a flow chart for the menu with the 101?

The Jac's are a definite consideration, just the magnets and finish puts me off a bit. The sandstorm seems like the one I would choose instead in that regard. I wont use the squid Double barrel's anymore, because of the auto fire report, the guys attitude towards safety is off. The warranty on them stated on the site still ticks me off also, even if he has been honoring warranty's past the 6 weeks. I just have a bad feeling about the guy & his company. :|

I've been looking for a couple more cheaper options on vape gear(Mods) as it seems that the FDA is gearing up to stop the sale of newer items. I have ordered the Ehpro, which I plan to use in wattage mode. I might ought to have a couple more mechs also. Altho With what I already have, I'm really not convinced 100% that I really need anything else. All my Provaris are still working, tho the P3, and Classics seem to be more troublesome than my 2.5's which seem to be the work horses of my Provari's.

Yeah - 5w-80w in power mode, NO problem.

You won't need a chart. It's simpler than the P3/Classic menu. You'll ace it.

I've even seen Provis auto-fire, KAS. It happens. Rarely, but it happens.

Squid's a great company, and I'd buy again from them in a heartbeat. The fact that the mod is as tough as I've ever seen doesn't hurt either.

Again though, these things are all subjective. Like I said, options everywhere (just like Astro-Turf!). ;-)

My experience is along the same lines as the rest of you, but slightly different. At one time when I was still learning and eager to try the latest overhyped thing I spent a lot of money. Lately, my spending is a small percentage of what it once was.

But it's not zero, since I've had excellent results in running across some veteran parts that are a year (or two, or more) old by now. They still do a tremendous job at a fraction of the price. For what they are (very well designed and constructed) I'm not sure I could buy anything better today.

For me, vaping the last year or two has been a free ride. Occasionally I'll grab two or three packs of Aspire coils when my desk box/ user pile gets low, so I don't have to tap into my reserves ;) since ProVape closed I really haven't had any compulsion to shop for devices, and I've grabbed a couple Sub tank mini's for cheap, and an extra ProTank 4, which I run the rba deck in( like the quick top/side fill function on those). I've pretty much stuck with running the sub tanks with the little BVC coils, and run a couple Kabuki's.

I keep four ProVari's ready to roll, and keep one REO in rotation, whenever I want to use a different one, the current one gets a thorough wash in the sink and gets put on the shelf.

My Radius pretty much just sits there, wish I could turn that one into a Ti P3, if wishes were horses, beggars would ride

While I am a huge fan of the Radius (3 at present) and would normally trade any Provari I own for one, my Ti P3 is in a very small group. The chance of it leaving me is roughly the same as the chance of me taking a weekend trip to Neptune. Radius is (are?) great, but the titanium P3 does so many unique things it stands alone.

But good luck in your quest.

i think you would like the Jac. I only paid $73 fir mine. A kind friend told me how to do it. As a first time buyer on the site you get 10% off. Then you leave your jac in the cart and in a couple days they send you an email giving you another 10% off and free shipping = $73!!! I heard about the issues with the back and the magnets but mine hasn't had any of these problems. And it vapes similar to a Provari.

I find it cery useful for outside my home. It and my oldest satin mini are the only ones I ever take outside…well and the icare I keep in my bag for stealth purposes.

The biggest con is that they only have 2 colors!

Yup. And, the talk about tariffs on imports is upsetting too.

The magnets and finish issues on the JACs is overblown a bit. The magnets come loose on some of the JACs but are easily glued back in. The finish has held up nicely on the vast majority of JACs. Many get those vapor skinz anyway. They are cheap and look awesome.

My 101 is over a year old, but they're still under $30. $28 at FT, and a couple of dollars less in Hawaii (I think). "TENOFF" is the code at Eciggity (sp?).

Are the SWAGs down to two colors now? They're used to be four (these two are in play now, so...).

There's also an orange, and another black (black on black). They're dated too now though, so I'm not current.
