orion update. i really like the device but the four pods were bad. now i'm in reno so i always go to knuckledusters, my favorite shop. the owner likes his and runs it at thirty watts. he got on his computer and programmed mine for his profile for the two new levels. i thought no way could i go higher so i bought some pods from him and what a world of difference. they were better at the start than the others i had and broken in are pretty darn good. i suspected my earlier coil was choking with too tight a wick.

i still like it best on the original medium setting but can now go up or down at will. unfortunately it seems a crapshoot for the pods but now i lucked out with these.

Okay I have cut you all a break, and give you an ORIGINAL Adam Lambert song, as performed on the "Zodiac Show" so there is no original to compare it to but to be honest, this is kind of more a DEMONSTRATION of how Idol ruins music. My mom was developing a case of "mad love" toward Mr.. Lambert over the course of this season.

And, like the good little daughter I am, well, I went and found her some "earlier performances" and this is one I found. I have to say, after watching it my main question was, "DUDE, why did you go be on IDOL if you can DO THAT all on your own??????"

I mean, in this performance, he is doing WAY more right than wrong, I mean, I would rate this performance HIGHLY in MOST aspects-- he is having fun, he is "fully committed" he is CLEARLY having a GREAT time, and while I personally could do without the nipples, I'm not sure I am his target AUDIENCE with that SAID I found it rather CAPTVATING and also sweet (in a way, like that way when you enjoy watching someone like what they are doing).

A note about the Zodiac Show, it's a bit racy, if you know what I mean. I mean, I was perfectly happy showing it to my (I guess at the time 70ish year old mommy) and she did giggle a little in that "Oh my, I cannot believe my daughter, Anna," way but she did not COLLAPSE or anything.

So, you CAN show it to your mommy, but you might want to evaluate that relationship though and maybe not if a heart condition is present. IDK. Your cat might not like it either.

LOL.

I found out my start date is next Monday. I'm gonna have less time to torment ya'll with this.

Congratulate yourselves. :)

Yeah... but... it kinda goes both ways. I mean, ORIGINALITY is not prized and I bet the Zodiac show put like WAY more effort into that performance than all of Idol's combined, but like, they did quite frequently get really innovative musicians that they then had to tone down to "family" style performers and my question is like, if you can get your freak on and you are told you have to be like ,"X, Y, and Z" well that's got to be awful and emasculating and stuff, and you aren't allowed... there's like a preselected set of tunes and you get manipulated and coached and stuff (I mean, I'm sorry the performers don't come up with the arrangements that they have to use) and a whole bunch of stuff.

But people were doing it for the exposure/money and that's kind of a shame because I would listen to "Crawl through fire" probably about a billion times before I listened to the "ring of fire version" even once.

But good luck going back to that world NOW, although apparently Mr. Lambert is now worth 11 million dollars and still being ogled by middle aged housewives everywhere or whatever.

So it's kind of a mutual, self-reinforcing cycle of suck, and I must say I am really glad it was cancelled while being simultaneously sort of nostalgic for it in this sad way.

I love and hate a LOT of really bad reality TV but you know there's a season for everything in life, and for a time, it was the Year of Idol and also the Year of the Depends Adult Undergarment.

That's just how well, society works. I think we're moving on to even more scary stuff.

I deem this the Year of "Alternative facts." People say that UNIRONICALLY we are all doomed but it's also like, did you ever think you'd hear that phrase EVER but even more so UNIRONICALLY?????

Never really liked Lambert, he's a screecher for sure, like nails on a chalkboard to my ears. Didn't think he had a drop of talent. There were way more talented folks on that years lineup. America's got a lousy music palette would be a better title for that circus act...
