he's a screecher for sure,

That's why I mentioned that your cat might not like it.

I like the Zodiac show actually. They put a lot of effort into the performances they create and they're visually interesting and stuff. I don't deny Lambert screeches and I was personally shocked that Queen wanted to perform with him (money must have changed hands there) but I'm also just generally a fan of some really odd stuff and sure, I'll listen to so many weird things like that Brian Wilson album "SMiLE" man, that album is SO GOOD and the fact that he was able to finish it however many decades later and it's just beautiful and amazing.

I kind of have this whole set of categories by which I rate music and like "talent" is not always one of them, although I do prefer it occasionally. Like, I was shocked when Madonna beat out Paula Abdul I was like, "she's so much better, she actually CAN dance she's cuter, what's wrong with society?" Of course then Idol solved that mystery for me I was like, "Oh there were other factors at work, guess you can't sing if like you can't stop slurring your words."

I like the Ace of Base's album, and I like it unapologetically. Their slogan should have been, "Never has a band done so much.... with so little." It's almost Abba's slogan but I do think they had a smidge more talent there.

Bordertown of ProVariland and REOville
Took a fourteen mile ride on the trail today, rain threatened the entire time but never materialized. Fall is in the air, today was the first day since April that I did not see a hummer at the nectar feeder :( I'll leave it up for another week for any passers by, but I think I've seen the last of our local seasonal visitors until another six moons pass...

Thank you for all the congratulations.

I could not omit THIS AWESOME AWESOME Idol moment.

And first of all, I KNOW everyone is all like yeah yeah "Dream On" etc., and it is so culturally relevant to mainstream society that Eminem made it even BETTER (if there weren't so many cuss words I would just link THAT because you could have DOUBLE the awesome) and if anyone wants to tell me that I only love Eminem because he's a white rapper, such is not the case. He actually at one point was listed as being the artist who used the most vocabulary and I LIKE LYRICS especially when they are nearly unprintable and for EVER it was my dream to be Eminem's therapist (not his sweetie pie, that doesn't seem to work out so well) but his therapist and for a long time when I imagined it, I felt sad that the first question I would have to ask is,
"Do you want to get mentally healthy, or would you like to continue to have talent? Because, for you, it's one or the other." Of late, I am quite clear that I could fix him up just fine REGARDLESS as he is no longer talented so I wouldn't have to worry about future music etc.

BUT ORIGINAL SONG

American Idol version, and like if you just want to experience the "best" of it so to speak, just you know, go to the last 10 seconds of the song. IT IS AMAZING (remember, that is not so much an evaluative word, things can be good OR BAD) but it is most DEFINITELY ORIGINAL, I have never heard this song butchered so much in all my life, and I have been to some bad, drunken karaoke and such. Drunk. So, I KNOW.

The only thing that could possibly have made it more "meta" was if Steven Tyler had been a judge yet but I don't believe he was, and he probably would have been nicer about it than Simon Cowell was, IIRC he was just kind of like, "Um BRAVE CHOICE," and when you hear that out of Simon Cowell, like, YOU ARE done usually, like voted off in a week or two. LOL.

Also, Michael Johns? Is that not the most boring name EVER, if I was named Michael Johns, and I were a performer I would legally change my name to "Beside Myself," because that is a GREAT stage name, it is ALMOST as if Michael John's parents were like, "Whatever we do we can't let this kid grow up to be famous," and they were so, so, so INCREDIBLY right but did Idol listen?

No, IDOL did not and SHAME on you Idol LOL

Oh @coldgin96 , I got a job as a Social Worker to a pedes clinic in a super rural county in Arizona, I was offered the job like over 2 months ago, but I've been waiting to get credentialed by all the insurance companies and background checked and whatnot, it's been really hard to wait but I start MONDAY.

LOL, the Idol thing, I forget what prompted it, but it's too late now.:D

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
It's those day to day matters, though, like if I DO pay attention (like one time I took the kid to laser tag and like, he informed me he was going to beat me, and I got all competitive like, "Yeah kid, we shall see" and I immediately found their enemy base (completely unguarded but to be fair I was on an active search.... It gave you 50K points for killing it, so I just did that over and over and then went out and picked off kids from above, while it was "resetting itself."

I beat every player in there by about 300,00 points. It was great.

Anna

That's horrible. Just horrible.

My kid was uppity.

I had to take him down a peg or two SOMETIMES.

It wasn't his birthday or anything..... Although, had he said that to me ON his birthday (we did go there one birthday) and he said it, I would probably, like, have made that determination ANYWAY and beaten HIM AND ALL HIS FRIENDS at Laser tag and come out and like, all the other moms sitting there would've been like, "That parent is JUST AWFUL," and muttering behind their hands and such.

I still would've though.

I mean, it's tough instilling humility in a kid that is just as smart as you, nay SMARTER.

Man, I'm so glad it wasn't his birthday that day.:lol::lol:

Also I would do stuff like when the PE teacher said he was too violent, I enrolled him in Ice Hockey. The PE teacher I have never seen a more PAINED expression on a teacher's face but it totally WORKED.

Oh man, practice times were brutal , too but it was worth it when partway through the year I ran into the PE teacher and I was all, like, so how's um, that game where you hit each other with the ball been going, I haven't heard any negatives, and since NEGATIVE feedback is so easy to give I assume it's going better?"

LOL.
