They did a little experimenting with zenkote at the beginning, but ended up only selling gold and gunmetal zenkote. They had too many problems with the others.

I think @Katdarling may be in possession of one of the experimental colors, I think.

And, yes, all the gunmetal Provari are zenkote.
The Ocelot got an experimental purple P3...and as a bonus, it had tear drops because they did it with a "Classic" tube ...that is...IIRC

Was it a Classic, E? Perhaps. I thought it was a Mini, but yes, it was Ms. Ocey, not I, Ms. Heretik. Hers is the Princess Zenkote (formerly Byzantium). Mine are all GMZ and GZ.

GOOOORGEOUS lil' thang. (JELLY!!)

they're all 3000mah batteries,but i guess i'll get the vtc6 since on the specification it's written Nominal Capacity: 3120 mAh,not that it's that's a big of a difference.

I dunno - it's just personal, unscientific observation, but I feel pretty certain I get a longer runtime and longer lifespan from the LGHG2 and the 30Q than I do from any of the Sonys. Unless you really need 30 amps (which you don't in a Provari), I'd go with the browns or pinks.

while browsing through vendors trying to find a better shipping price i discovered there are 3 new(to me)batteries that may suit the MTL vapers with higher capacities:
Sony VC7
LG MJ1
Sanyo NCR18650GA
here's what Mooch have to say about them:
Sony VC7 (not VTC7) 8A 3500mAh 18650...great battery for low power use
Bottom Line: This is not the “VTC7” as there is no such battery. This is a great performing high capacity battery for vaping at 5A/15W (per battery) or less. It is up there with the other two best performing high capacity 18650’s, the Sanyo/Panasonic NCR18650GA and the LG MJ1.
Bench Retest Results: Sony VC7 (not VTC7) 8A 3500mAh 18650...great battery for low power use

what do you guys think?
also I'm a bit concerned about that 8A, even though i usually vape at 12W on a 1.5ohm coil+- and some times at 14-16 watts.(how much Amp is that?)

I consider Mooch the definitive source on batteries. Period. And it was on his recommendation that I bought a couple of the Panasonic GA batteries. In my ridiculously unscientific opinion, they work fine but are far from the longest lasting batteries I own. I generally vape from 17 to 22 watts more or less.

I've tried various Sony (the VTC6 work best for me), 30Q pinkies, and 20S. You may want to discount my experiences since even in their day, I never liked the 25 or 25R all that much. The HG2 remains the only model that I haven't gotten the "dead already?" impression from. But I seem to remember a discussion (Mooch? dunno) that they may have suffered a bit in performance over time and a long production run.

It doesn't help much for people who want to try newer batteries, but just like juices I think the key to batteries is how each individual vapes. My style seems to clearly favor HG2 even though they may not have the bigger numbers that newer batteries are showing.

So today I had a really nice ride, I traveled the upper 3/4ths of the trail, this one has two suspension bridges on it and lots of marshy areas along the river. I spotted a great blue heron standing along the banks of the river, I saw this same guy on a ride last weekend. He was searching the waters for a fish to eat...today I kind of took my time, and wanted to see how I felt after twenty miles with what I had eaten.

I have been having a problem of hitting the wall at twent to twenty five miles, and think I found my solution, I need to load up with a belly full of oatmeal and a couple bananas just before the ride, and I have found a gluten free oat based granola...so, my goals...

Originally, I had a goal of being able to ride the trail from end to end, which is 32 miles. Now, having ridden that distance, though not end to end, My new goal is to start at the end, ride to the beginning, and have a nice long rest and a lunch. this will require a rack on my bike to carry food and extra water. I think if I just keep in the shape I am in currently, that the springtime will see me attempting the sixty four mile round trip, this will require me to pace myself so I don't burn out, and to keep some calories available to burn, all while avoiding gluten and sugar because of the diabetes...I think I can do this in the spring, when the days get a little longer.
