I would use the balloons and moth balls as a deterrent while you are ridding the attic of them and sealing the places up where they enter.

Mothballs are fairly cheap and they are so pungent you could space them out quite a bit.
Mothballs are likely illegal to use for bats. I know they are for snakes. To me, however, it’s tantamount to tearing the tag off your mattress.

Maybe overthinking it. Either get a Dani Mini or don't.
Sometimes I'm forgetful, but found the more I quit thinking, the less I seem to forget. Not exactly sure how it works that way like that. Besides in the case of the Dani Mini, maybe all I need to remember is ignorance is bliss ... not going to think about it ... I'll forget.

[thinking out loud]
Dicodes Dani Mini back in stock at CDV. I THINK I'd like one. All I know is I keep having to talk myself out of getting one of them. While I can afford it, it's the price that's holding me back for one. By the time I get the mini and the charging station ... that's about $400 I think. Secondly, ALL I EVER use is power mode and devices I have with dna chips seem to be doing just fine and dna chip technology is arguably the best in the world. Many will say DNA is better than Dicodes. Guess it's that close. vaping fine as well, are my ProVari devices and Eleaf Pico mods.

None of the mods I own are much, if any, over 3 years old and none NEED replacing. Maybe 3 years is a lifetime in the vape world, but I think the Dani/mini has been out about 3 years ... maybe I should hold off pulling the trigger and wait and see what's next from Dicodes.
[/thinking out loud]
Yeah, my thinking too. None of my Provari's show any sign of crapping out, so I'm also tempted, but not pulling the trigger until at least one does. Then Dicodes.
But I've still got to replace the springs in the Provari's. Might last forever.

HA !!! ... perhaps my biggest fear is if I get the Dani Mini, I'll fly off down a rabbit hole. I ALREADY had my eyes on a V3 Extreme tube mod ... until reliable and trustworthy 18350 and 18500 batteries became so hard to come by.

When I started vaping, I KNEW I wanted quality gear ... not just something unique and beautiful, I wanted functionally superior. I tossed ProVari and Dicodes (only two I found to even consider) about in my mind over and over and finally committed to ProVari. The biggest deciding factor was "Made in the U.S.A.". Thing is, if I'd committed to Dicodes instead ... I'd prolly be catching one or two ProVaris on the bay and elsewhere now LOL.

For me the main reason I bought the Dicodes Dani Mini, is I did not want to keep carrying my Radius's around every day risking either damaging, or wearing them out. I use them in wattage mode, I have gone in to the menu a couple of times, and it is a bit of a pain. There is a setting in there that you can increase the vape time, it has a really weird name, but other than that, just push button and Vape then grunt. (As DPL would say) :)

@kas122461 ... How does the Dani Mini vape compare to the Radius vape. Same but different? Better? Not quite as good? No noticeable difference? ... maybe different battery life? What can you add KAS? ... THANKS :)

EDIT: How about the fire button on the Dani Mini? Clicky or kind of mushy like the Radius? Is the smaller fire button on the Dani Mini ever an issue?

... and another thing about the Dani Mini ... "The wattage step size is 0.5 Watt below 30W and 1W above."
That seems pretty imprecise for such a mod with so many precisely changeable/controllable parameters. Even the Radius steps at .2 Watts. I'd prefer a .1W step (like EVOLV DNA) but a whole half (.5) watt makes a HUGE difference when vaping in low power and COULD miss the sweet spot almost entirely. Shoot

Yeah, well, I wonder if the smell of the moth balls would work their way down to the second floor where we sleep and shower? I have lung issues... Still, I'll discuss it with Jackie.

Well gee, the mothballs wouldn't be up there for bats. They'd be up there for....moths! :D

Which color Dani are you getting, @Hobbs?

;)

:rickroll:

No dice for now. The .5W power step is a total deal breaker for me. Too big a jump when low power vaping. If there were at least a voltage mode with .1V step, I MIGHT MAYBE could overlook the 1/2W step.

I have an Ehpro Mod 101 that has .5W power step. It works for some atomizers but not all. It's just luck of the draw. I find in most cases I greatly appreciate more precise power control. I vape @1.8ohms and find for example 7W is too low and 7.5W too high. 7.2-7.4W ... perfect. Can't dial it in on a Mod 101 or apparently, a Dani Mini ... stuck with either 7W or 7.5W. Take it or leave it. I'll leave it for now.

Could I get by with .5W power step? ... yep, you betcha I could. But who wants to "get by" with a $300 mod. It should be more precise in power mode. Say .1W or at most .2W steps when vaping under about 10W.

Bottom line is my vape style is just not Dicodes target audience or likely even on their radar. That's a shame, for me. They have perhaps arguably the finest, most well built mods out there right now, commercially available. Not going to change my vape preference to suit Dicodes.

Maybe I'm totally off base here. I'd like to try a Dani Mini to see if I am and prove me wrong. Just not willing to toss that kind of money at it to find if I was right or not. My trying to compare a thirty dollar Ehpro Mod 101 1/2W step to the 1/2W power step of a Dani Mini might could be apples to oranges for all I know ... and all I know is a half watt is a half watt and too big a jump for my preference.

    Or for batmoths....

I don't think the smell would bother you on another floor. I keep the mothballs in a steamer trunk and never smell them until I open it up. I dunno though, I feel for you.

a mini costing 171.63 pound does not 300 dollars make...

    oh, the great DiCoDes misconception...

    171.63 Pound sterling equals
    218.69 United States Dollars

ps further research of all of the non temp control functions would have you running to buy one!!!

    imho, jim

The vape is every bit as good on the radius, and the battery life is better than on a radius for me. I honestly never really thought about the button, it is smaller and it is not a clicky button, I have no issues with it really. :|
