Hobbs! Sup? Hey, I hope you don't mind but I've been using your, "This mine" phrase with Steel. He doesn't really appreciate it. Jackie laughs at us when she's around and I do it. Usually, he gets a bite when I am done if he's good. But, if it's something he shouldn't have and it's a quick snack, "This mine." He lays down and lets out a big sigh. Lol Yesterday, though, I couldn't help it and had to give in (well, not really). I was in the kitchen and tried really, really hard to remove the wrapper off a ice cream sandwich without him hearing it. Nope. He was looking at me and I said, "No, no, this mine" as I tapped my chest with my free hand. I then turned my back to him facing the sink. The sink is next to the back door. So, he sits in front of the door looking at me. I tapped my chest again and said, "No, no, this mine." He immediately laid down with a big sigh so we couldn't see each other's face while I finished it and had to give him the last small tiny bite. You see, when I am eating a meal, I taught him not to beg. That means if he wants a treat, when I am finished, he doesn't beg. He will come in the room and lay down with his back to me so he's not looking at me when I eat. LOL SO, with the ice cream sandwich, he tried really hard to be good so I gave in while no one was looking.
