You should ask around and check my memory on this but ... ~Zen was/is really safety conscience ... I seem to recall the Z-Atty has a spring designed to collapse so it might not be suited to sub-Ω coils.
Thanks for the heads up !!! I have no intention of sub-ohm, just thought it was worth a mention and apparently very well may be for general knowledge !!! Out of the box ... 5-wrap @ 1.57ohm (according to the mod) and that is just fine with me.

I'll eventually try it on a 2.5 of course. Just easier to work the TC60W display and get it dialed in as I "learn how to vape" LOL. ... my 2.5 and minis all have the P3 conversion tops. That's why I got the Z Atty-U instead of the Z Atty Pro. On my 2.5, I'll have to use the Provari 510 adapter rings. I thought about picking up a bevel top 2.5 and ordering a Z Atty Pro but realized there still wouldn't be a guarantee the wick and fire button would be in a position for a nice comfortable natural hand grip. There were so many considerations and over-thinking going into my decision on which to get LOL. I honestly think the very best mod for the Z Atty is one of the HoH mechs with a bottom fire button. That way it doesn't matter how the coil is aligned. But I'm afraid of mechs. Even the gorgeous ones HoH has.

I want to pass along some sad news about a fellow member who suddenly passed away with no warning. He owned a couple Provaris and would visit the old Provari threads on occasion but he mostly stayed on the HHV thread and to a smaller extent on the new members pages. Not sure how many of you knew him (if any at all) but in case you do I thought you should know. The HHV thread is five years old next month and he joined shortly after it started. He posted every day and many times a day. To say we knew him well would be an understatement. And to say the least we are all deeply shocked and saddened.

I used ZAPs on P2.5's w/ the beauty ring. To get the 'proper alignment' of the wick and fire button, I played around w/ different thickness of o-rings laid on the top of the Provari's beveled top. Then screwed the atty on 'till I had 'contact' with the 510 and the alignment I wanted. I could pretty much get the wick and fire button aligned. Just a thought for your consideration.

Congratulations !!! :)
The last update was Version 40 and was on all units shipped after 20JUl16. You would have to send it to Bill or someone for any updates. I think the ZFO or HoH does the updates for $15. There may be others. If there is a brick and mortar vape store near you who was once a ProVape dealer, it might be worth giving them a call to see if they could do it for you.

Hobbs, thank you much. I emailed Bill prior to purchasing and he quoted $10 + $5 for shipping. Cost isn't the issue but really interested in whether it was necessary and what the current version corrects or enhances.

I sent a couple of P3 mods to Bill for updates to version 41. You will get the choice for manual scrolling on the menu plus some bug fixes. He also checked and replaced the O rings. I thought it was worth sending them in while I still could.

I saw one site suggest that a V42 was available. You'd have to ask Bill about the latest if someone doesn't chime in about it. V40 was said to be for battery management improvements but the biggest deal for me was a feature in which manual or auto scrolling menu was selectable. I'd gotten used to manually going through the menu on my Radius and found it was an improvement on the P3. But that's just my preference. Others prefer auto scroll. Just nice to have a choice with V40.

Bronze I'm so sorry. It's so hard to lose a friend. I didn't know Chris although I've lurked at HHV a few times checking on how someone is doing and saw his name several times.

Yeah, the way they did the nuts bugs me too.

And changing batteries with these things, on a daily basis, seems problematic.

There are better mods out there for that sort of thing imo.

There is one simple fix if your worried about the nuts. A rubber flat washer .5mm thick, 1.5mm ID x 4mm OD.

As for the inserts, they tested at 350lbs pull out force. Now at 20 below that should drop to about 200 lbs. The issue and what causes uneven stress for most people is not holding the bottom plate tight on the spring while tightening the screws AND over tightening them. Another mistake I have seen done is not making sure the bottom plate is seated first before tightening the screws or having debris on the screw head.

I change batts daily and have never had a screw loosen up. I hold the bottom plate pressing on the spring side and tighten the first nut to finger tight +1/8 and the second the same. Then just give them a second turn which is about 1/16 and they stay tight with only about 5 inch pounds of torque in the screws themselves.

@jwbnyc Pretty sure that's why Provape suggested using the internal charging system. I've never yet have removed a battery , but do check the nuts often.

I do put a pile of moth balls under our automobiles, I feel like I have done something productive.
So...please elaborate. Do you put the mothballs in a container of some sort? How many do you use? Does it work? We keep our vehicles outside. I would very much like some kind of solution other than keeping a rat trap under my hood in the engine compartment.

The ones that I get come in perforated bags, two bags to a box. I put the bags of moth balls on the ground one under the engine compartment and one toward the rear of the car. You can smell them as you approach the cars. I put one bag in the engine compartment of my tractor. So far, knock on some of the oak and hickory wood, since I started I have had no mouse or tree rat damage. Maybe luck, maybe it works but I keep them out there year around. Dollar General is where I get mine, relatively cheap and the bags last a couple months before they evaporate.

Thanks! I will show this to Jackie. We actually have a Dollar General in town we frequent. I only kill them because of what they did to my Jeep and they go in my garage. If they would behave themselves like the neighborhood cats learned to do, I'd let them live. It's purely self defense.

This reminds me of two incidents from when we lived up north in very rural Pendleton Co. KY. Tried to turn the ignition on my car one day and nothing! Opened the hood…EVERY SINGLE wire in there was in pieces . Found a couple of tufts of raccoon fur so knew they had a party in the engine compartment of my car .

The other incident happened when DH and I both drove our cars into town and out of the clear blue as I'm driving my car filled with smoke and smelled like fire. Luckily I could see enough to pull over. Turned out a mouse had built a nest right behind the glove compartment and somehow caught fire that day .

Such is life in the country

Raccoons here have a bulls eye, nothing less. And they don't reproduce as fast as rodents.

Can someone recommend a squeeze bottle with 18g blunt tip top?

Wiping juice away from the needle of the syringe that came with the ZA-U every time I fill the syringe just isn't ideal for me.

Most squeeze bottles with needle tips I see, have tips that are just too small. They work fine for thin liquids like flavorings but even the ones I got last year from ProVape ... drip drip drip ... when squeezed hard on 50/50 PG/VG.

Thanks !!!
