but, but ... having the actual files might not be enough. I assuming (dangerous thing) the updater program for the Radius is dependent upon connecting to the Provape server to look for and DL the updates to the Radius.
I think you are correct. If someone wants to test it, they could try downloading the program for the radius, installing it, taking their PC off-line and trying to run the update. If it works, or not, you will have your answer.

He paid the price for coming out of hibernation in my house. Bent the badminton racket on this one when he landed on our bedroom curtain after he terrorized Jackie at 2:30 in the morning. Curtain has a smear mark on it. I'm not sorry.

Well I've been thinking of buying a radius 60w so went ahead and downloaded the updater and files from Provape's mediafire.

Can anyone confirm if it will still work or not? Like do the files actually include all of the firmware updates or is there some other external server the program has to connect to that may be offline now?

I am wondering the same thing about my P3 which is 20 watts, I think. I don't want to do anything dreadful, but I think I would enjoy the update... As long as it is safe to do so....

Anna
what version does it have now ?

Here's the link to their mediafire with the update files and manuals for the radius: MediaFire

I was able to install the RadiusProgrammingSoftware_PC.zip after extracting it, but can't tell if it includes the firmware files or not as I don't yet have a radius to test it on.

The 20 watt version, but I'm not sure what update that is, Terry. Updates are a very, very hazy concept to me, so I'm hoping someone comes along with a definitive answer... :)

Anna
awhile back Enuad posted what changes were in the various P3 firmware updates.
mine is ver 39.
i think the last was 41.

I think the update files are gone now. The programming software was just an interface to connect with the actual firmware files on ProVape servers. Pretty sure what you now have is what you are stuck with...

I've been wrong before though, maybe I'll call Mike and see what he says...

Edit: that didn't work, the number I had for Zen went to a fax

I'll check... But I'd be more interested in finding out if I could actually do the updates myself without ruination and dismay... :) But, thank you Terry K. :)

Anna
you’re talking about a radius and not a p3.
you need the hardware to update a p3,
not a usb cord.

Yes, I don't have that. LOL. It looks vaguely terrifying so I am supposing Bill or some store that has the hardware would be the way to do it.... Although even if I don't, I am not unhappy with it's performance. Both my radiuses are 40 watt, but I don't need to go higher, I am a total lightweight when it comes to wattage needs. I believe I will live. Thanks for the info, @Terry Koontz.
