On the FDA... A friend of my yesterday sent a photo of a coffee mug he'd like to have. It was sans logo or picture, but it did have a comment about a current politician. He said were he to start using this mug at the office he probably be fired.

A couple of months ago I saw a s=x toy on Amazon with the politician's head on the h... I went to look for it. As a joke, I was going to send the link to my friend and say, "Here, put this on your desk, and they never notice the coffee mug."

In the process of looking for the s=x toy I saw several that claimed to be FDA approved. I don't know if this is true or not. But if true that to me is way out of what should be the FDA's scope of responsibility--unless it's perhaps to regulate Cold's "shocker."

I guess I'm way into Old Fart range, but my observation is insanity is now running everything.

I checked my bucket list too and it isn't on there either. Just wanted to make sure.

I have a couple of TENS units for my lower back. They work well. But if you are not careful that little nine volt battery will send you into space.

Oh, I like Trump more than your usual politician.... He is still, now, a politician. I find his tweets more informative and funny than his speeches though.... I kind of like that he's still at it. I'm not exactly anti-Trump, I'm just sort of anti-politicians in general. I am not a fan of some of his hired guns, to put it mildly, though. LOL.

Anna

I come from a long line of anti-politicans. My father used to say people were worried the Russian would bomb Washington; he was worried they wouldn't. I'm leaning more to his thinking everyday.

Thank you DPL. Ordered a batch to help with my aging AWs.

My pleasure, Storm! I hope you enjoy them.

So is there a good way to store them for the long-term?

Well, I try to follow the Mooch/Baditude recommended method of storing at 50%, but sometimes that's easier said than done. The reality is that some degradation over time is impossible to avoid, so I usually shuttle new ones in immediately, then I store the older ones as backups.

I'm not saying there's anything "correct" about my practice, and only that it's been working out fine for me.

I've got a bunch of AW's tucked away. I checked the voltage of each cell when they came in, which is usually 3.7 - 3.8 V. That would be the resting voltage that they were shipped from the factory at. About every six months or so, I pull them all out and check the voltage of each cell, they seem to mostly sit at 3.7V for the most part. Storing fully charged cells is not a good practice, same goes for storing discharged cells.

I've got some that will probably not be used for a couple more years, got them cheap and they give me piece of mind...it is what it is as far as whatever degradation occurs to them in storage.

Once they go into the rotation they remain in rotation until the day I tape up the ends and bag them for recycling. I trust my P3's to tell me when that time is ;)

I've been doing it the Mooch method. I fully charge them with an Opus BT C3100 V2.2 (is that a long name or what?), then discharge to below 4 volts. But I've never done any long-term storage either.

I trust your P3's to tell me when mine are bad too, but they've been letting me down. ;) :D

I can recognize when the run times spin low, and that's when I swap out. For me, that seems to be about every two years or so (to date). I recylcle the previous "backups", and move the newer ones into the role. I've rarely had to pull them out, but it's happened.

When I do (pull out), I order replacements right away.

Take it away, (@gnees & @AstroTurf ). ;) :nun:
