It had to move to the left side for awhile for that to occur.... So someone, somewhere was trying to fix it (I think)... (I hope).

But, LOL, I really don't like these sitewide competitions, and I don't understand why they can't be put on a contest thread or somewhere where someone who WANTS to gleam it up can do so, because most people don't. I like normal contests and have participated in some gleam ones for a while, while feeling as though I were "shilling" for vaping, which makes me feel like a Big tobacco High End Manager, and I don't like that so much.

Maybe if it were a contest for 5 provaris and 4 Kayfuns and 4 Kabukis... Maybe then I would be all fine with it, but echhhh,

I know... And I wasn't around back then, but everything has grown more expensive.

I will say, the contests are usually pretty cool, and I have no ill-will against manufacturers and site owners for doing that. I do think it would be reasonable to "opt out" at any time. I've done that with more traditional competitions, and I get the "gleam" thing and all, but I think it would be good to be able to opt out permanently, just like one X's out daily.

One X out daily is fine, but I wish there were instructions provided and a bit less site chaos first.

It does make it harder for new users, or users using a phone/tablet etc., and that can drive people away. Two sides to every coin. I wish there were a "daily close" and a "permanent opt out" option, and that both were made clear, etc.

It bothers me right up until I discover the secret "X" LOL, after that, I don't mind X ing it out.

The last contest was fine, as I knew the "banner's secret" but this one was a bit different, I do think the click should be visible and apparent as it's loaded. Of course, I don't know enough about site stuff to know if that's possible or not. An extra click won't ruin my day.... :)

Doesn't bother me a lick to x it out each time I log in.
It's a simple click of the mouse.
I don't mind the contests, and I don't mind clicking to make banner adds go away...it just didn't seen to be clickie when the add first appeared. I kept tapping the top right corner and nothing would happen, coulda been my IPad too, no tellin not knowin...

I ran into the same thing, but then I realized that the actual contact point to click the "x" is almost microscopic. It takes me a second or so to make sure I'm exactly on it while using a mouse, so I can't imagine trying to hit it on a touchscreen.
