Mine was watching Mikhail Baryshnikov dance with the Cincinnati Ballet many years ago. Having loved classical ballet my whole life watching him dance can never be equalled…unless I could have watched Nureyev or Nijinski dance![]()
I was wandering around Cincinnati once. I saw a bar that was hosting The Duke, I paid Ten Bucks, got a show beyond belief, El Gotto fifteen minutes without interruption. My, then, girlfriend was impressed.
Oh, yes.
A date took me to similar small venue to see Miles Davis, when I was clueless. Fabulous.
Don't remember the guy, but will not forget that stellar event.
Another very memorable event for me, of a very different genre:
Atlantic City 1969 concert. Google it (I'm lousy with links via phone)
It was just days before Woodstock, civil 3 days, and very similar list of performers, many known like Janus, Little Richard & Jefferson Airplane, and other quite new--Santana blew everyone away, for example.
Outstanding.
W00 H00!!!Ah turfy.
Only in that he saw a musician he greatly admired at a rare small club performance.
If he had been otherwise, I would have remembered him.![]()

Are you still close to AC? I'm there every weekend. Still great shows there.Another very memorable event for me, of a very different genre:
