Uh, meeting your insurance out of pocket costs is NOT generally "the bright side." Especially if you have one that needs endless buckets to be "filled" or just doesn't really have one.

I am especially not looking forward to calling Allstate (my husband's insurance co when he broke his neck the first time, and now, thanks to that I am "banned" from them for life, for being one of the "Mr. A" family members, LOL) and letting them "know" that his neck fusion is crumbling and we will probably need what is "left" from the million dollar policy, and likely traveling out of state to somewhere decent, and etc.

If I envy one thing in this world, it's not money (we always seem to manage) it's not fame (being famous probably sucks, IMO) but good health.

There is nothing more precious, and I find it hard to "look on the bright side" as I pay off my own monstrous (uninsured) denture debt. It's a sad freaking world when the only medication that made me "normal" required the removal of 24 teeth, bone shaving, at 33 and ten years later, lets just add another 15K to the bill since I can't chew anymore and etc.

The only bright side to health issues is NOT dying, IMO, and honestly, sometimes even that doesn't feel so great.

Sorry for the gloom. I think I'll vape a bit. LOL.

I have not tried the pinto beans with ham before, so it will be a little different. I should be able to add this to some rice later in the week for some variety. There is a site that I found online called webstaurantstore that I have been looking at for a bulk supplier for beans, hopefully I can order some stuff soon.

I'm curious to know what the general consensus is regarding flavoring storage. I bought a .... load of flavoring at the end of 2016 that I haven't got to yet, thanks to all the free juice ProVape sent me. So far, I've kept them in their original little 10ml glass vials in the packing (upright) box they came in which sits on the same shelving as my CD's. It could very well be a couple of more years before I use them all up. If I thought the fridge was the way to go, I'd have them in there.

No one else has an opinion?

I refrigerate mine. But, we usually run our thermostat at around 80, in the summer time. If I thought I had "reasonable" ambient temps, maybe I'd feel differently. I have heard different opinions on keeping flavoring cold, and whether it's a good idea, but (IMO) if my indoors is going to be 80 degrees, well, I'd put myself in the fridge sometimes if I thought I could fit, and etc.

I forgot, I put all my flavors into glass, if they are not already shipped that way, so there is no chance of the plastic leaching into the flavor. Sense this batch is already in glass, I would just go ahead and put them in the fridge. The only thing that might happen in the fridge, is some flavors might crystallize, and a slight warm up will bring them right back. Sense these have been in a closed up box, stored in glass and never opened, I think they should be fine. Yes if you are not going to use them for another year or so, I would put them in the fridge.

I keep mine at room temp, the main ones I use are in glass, I have a ton of flavors I haven't even gotten around to trying yet, some of them are two or more years old now I have found that mostly I prefer non flavored or very lightly flavored. I have some pg based flavors in the deep freeze, and they will stay there till needed/wanted...I look at flavors like I look at spices, we use what's in our cupboards without a thought as to how old they are. Maybe some will loose potency, maybe some will pick up off flavors from time, if so I'll just toss them.

Great response, thank you! I'm probably going to let it go this time around. It truly is why I signed up and I've been on this kick of getting what I pay for and making vendors (business's, people etc.) live up to what they say, especially when taking my money. Probably won't re-up, though.

I keep mine at room temp, the main ones I use are in glass, I have a ton of flavors I haven't even gotten around to trying yet, some of them are two or more years old now I have found that mostly I prefer non flavored or very lightly flavored. Thank you! Perhaps I'll wait a while, for now. Sounds like there is nothing wrong with refrigerating, though. I'll think about it.

I remember reading somewhere, that a wine cooler was better for storing flavors. Because it is not quite as cold as a fridge, and not cold enough for some of them to crystallize. At one time I was considering buying a large one, and converting it for storing flavorings. Then a couple of people gave me a couple of small refrigerators, so in a fridge they went.

I honestly don't know how long this procedure has been around, but yeah showing improvement is a good thing. The info I read online about this warned that vision might not come back. I guess if I end up with 3 treatments at least my deductible will be met after that. There are other health issues that I will have checked after this, so hopefully insurance will pick up the rest after all this.

Glad to hear your having success so far. The procedure‘s been around for years. It started as a treatment for retinal cancer. The shots didn’t help me and we stopped them after four months. I’ve talked to people that have been getting the shots regularly for over a year. Important thing is your vision may well be saved. Nothing more important than that.
