Same Daimler as the car maker?
yes, same Daimler, they made car carriages and cars, Puch motorcycles and scooters, and Puch bicycles...from what I could figure out from research and talking with the shop owner, Daimler saw FUJI bikes success in the US market and wanted to tap into that, but did not want to risk hurting their brand name in Europe if the venture was not successful, so they only exported Austro Daimler badged cycles into the US market, it was a short lived brand lasting only four or five years from what I've learned. I remember lusting after these things back in those days, when I was riding a FUJI bike, the AD bikes sold for 800+ dollars back in the day.
The model I got is the Olympian, and looks pretty much like this example:
P8310488.JPG

except mine has the tiny shift levers at the end of the bars and will have the bars wrapped with brown tape, to hopefully come close to the color of the leather saddle on it. The branding stickers on mine show their age, but to me this gives the machine a certain character, deserving of it's age and use...

I remember repairing a few models of these when I worked in bike shops in the 70's and they were extremely well built bikes. That crankset is a knockout!

The attention to detail is amazing up close, the way they butted and brazed the frame, for a steel frame, it is light, a bit heavy compared to modern stuff though, but very respectable for its time. All the bearings feel good in this one, I don't think I'll have to re-pack any of them for a couple years yet. 37 years old and still road worthy, something to be said for that kind of craftsmanship...

They even brazed on a small button to hang the chain on when removing the rear wheel, neat little stuff like that.

* Looks Greek to me *
Greek Shrimp Scampi Fettuccine with Garlic and Feta ... Greek and fettuccine? This is like a war between the ancients here. But while the pasta may be all the way Italy, the flavors are not: Oregano, feta cheese, and jammy sun-dried tomatoes make for a puckering amount of deliciousness, a combo that Socrates would have put down the poison for. Pretty sure. Add in the succulent shrimp and filling pasta, and you've got a meal fit for a philosopher-king … or a god-like Roman emperor, but it's all mine. Bon Appetit

... and red pepper flakes sprinkled on top YUM !!!

IDK what happened (my usual state these days) but I'm glad everyone has like settled WHATEVER cuz I kind of love this thread.

Anna
I normally only get into my vape ecf stuff once a day, and in the evening.
So, I miss all the fun and just see "..." or "..." or emoticons. Cripes.

On a different subject, I'm catching up, and read about the o-ring replacement.
I've never had to replace a Radius or P3 o-ring.
So, two questions, cause happily owning a few and recalling issues and a good person a while back sent me a handful of o-rings, but for the life of me I don't remember.
First, have I missed something, or do they only need replacing when they crack/break?
Second, should I eventually need to replace one, the pin will remain in position and not fall into the battery chamber while I'm spreading the o-ring with the tool and slipping it over and under the pin. Right? Sounds kinda sexy actually.

Damn...five years without a cigarette... Whodahthunk that was ever possible for a die hard going to die by my my own hand smoker like me? Amazing stuff this vaping thing... It got under my skin deep and changed my whole world and the way I look at things. I wasn't looking to quit the cigs when I tried vaping , it was just to placate my wife who kept nagging me to at least try it out and see if it helped, well, I guess it did help, cause I started puffing on that Ego battery and T3s clearo and I never looked back...eff you tobacco companies and government lackeys...never another skinny thin dime from my hands into your coffers for what things made me a cougher
