I was always told that 120/80 was good.
Now they saying 120/80 is high and I need to take Atorvastatin
First off,
Statin = stuffy or runny nose, sweating, sore throat, rash, unusual muscle pain or cramps, tiredness or trouble sleeping, fever,
........, dark or pink or cloudy urine, vomiting, headache, memory loss or confusion, fast or irregular heartbeat,
increased blood sugar, which can lead to diabetes <-----
kidney & liver damage or failure, Death!
Yea I'm thinking

besides that i saw there was some interest here in a dicodes mini box mod and i recently saw this one made by Taifun(apparently entirely made in Germany including all the parts it's made of)with a simplified menu for the Dicodes board,but not cheap at all and allways out of stock.

This happened to hubby a few yeas ago when he had to get screened for a DOT card to drive a freakin bread truck. He argues with the guy "...so you all actually want me ON drugs when I'm behind the wheel?!" The nurse let him wait in the room for a bit to calm down a couple of points and then let him pass. Now he drives for a different company with smaller trucks, and very glad he doesn't have to deal with getting DOT cert anymore. Doesn't matter, they had guys in perfect health they were still trying to push crap on. I absolutely DESPISE the pharma industry in this country! (Yes, I know there are some rx out there that do good for some people, but imo they have harmed more.They've all but killed my mother.) Sorry for the rant.

I'm not sure if you should use a flea collar on a nursing mum, so I'll page @Bea-FL to see if she knows what would be safe for new families. Do you have any TNR places around that will do low-cost spay and neuter services for feral cats? We have some around here that will help with fixing the adults, and might even help with finding homes for the kittens when they are ready to go out on their own. I hope there will be more peektures of these little guys. 
Doctors no longer think, they follow established protocols. Who establishes the protocols is determining factor, probably a pharmaceutical company financing some university "research".

@FringeChief68 and @cats5365 i just texted my ex-practice manager to ask about flea treatment. My memory is getting fuzzy on what kind but I'm thinking we always advised Frontline for mom. I know when I used to raise orphaned kittens years ago I used flea powder on them and it worked ok. I wouldn't advise using it as a regular treatment because frontline works better but you can't use it on kittens less than 8 weeks old. I'll let you know what she says as soon as I hear.
BTW this is what many of us in the veterinary profession do for fleas for our cats. Rather than using frontline for cats we buy the largest dog size frontline and we apply 0.5mls to each cat (at back of neck). We use a 1cc syringe and puncture a little hole in the foil back of the little applicator. I have a slew of 18 gauge needles so I filed down the sharp end so I ended up with a blunt needle. I put a piece of duck tape on the little hole so it wont leak out after I'm done. You can get several cat applications out of one applicator that way at a much lower cost than buying the cat frontline.
It's a well known trick but if you ask a vet they'll tell you "oh, you can't do that". Most cat rescue groups back home do it too. That's how I treat my three too. Living in Florida I have to treat them year round even though they are strictly indoor cats.
Cats has great suggestions. Same ones I would suggest for spaying and kitten placement.
Edit: petmeds usually has discounts. I don't think I have ever paid full price. And you don't need a script from your vet. Speaking of scripts. If you vet prescribes something for your pets check out its cost online. You can usually find it a lot cheaper there. Ask your vet for a script and order online. Most of us in the profession hated online pharmacies because it cut into the hospital's profit but I do the same thing now that I'm not in the business anymore. I can't afford not to.

A 25 year old Scotswoman has recently finished her finals and is now a fully qualified vet.
The same young woman won gold last Sunday in the 1500m at the European Championships.
This proves conclusively that vets are awesome.

Frontline became ineffective over time. The fleas adjusted. Then the other one (Advantage) became the first choice. And like Frontline, it became largely ineffective. That was the status about five years ago. What it is now I do not know.
Wow, I got a big red X. LOL! Bea, I'm telling you what the vet told me. And the people at the pet shop told me the exact same thing. As I said, that was a good five years ago. Oh, and I had neighbors who said they gave up on Frontline and switched to Advantage with mixed results. I used Advantage and it worked but I needed it only once (they were indoor cats).
I've heard other people complain about fleas becoming immune but I respectfully disagree. We had clients who have used it for umpteen years with no issues. When we questioned clients who felt like you, most of the time we found that it wasn't actually that the fleas became immune but that there were so many fleas, more than other years, so the product could not keep up…no product could under the circumstances.
At such times it's best to also do a thorough vacuuming of the whole house daily for a week or two, wash all cloth furnishings and maybe even spray the yard to give any flea product used a helping hand.
As we used to say to clients who complained frontline was no longer working and they saw fleas on their pets…imagine how much worse they would be without the product.
And since moving to Florida five years ago…the flea capital of the world…my cats are treated every four weeks like clockwork and we have seen no fleas.
BTW, frontline can also be applied every three weeks in a bad situation.
Haven't used Frontline for years, currently use Vectra so I don't have the Frontline info in front of me, but for the Vectra there's a huge warning all over the dog one that says fatal for cats to come in contact with. I know I'm always cautious for a few days after "flea treatment day", always make sure everybody washes hands after touching the dog before touching one of the cats, etc. Just wanted to put that out there, always read the precautions because each company uses a different chemical coctail. I know no one here wants to see harm come to such precious ones. My apologies to Bea if I am in error about this (admittedly I have never been employed by a vet, grew up on a farm though and have always administered meds to various animals when needed)-just wanted to err on the side of caution.
