I'm not cheering until I know the person who replaces him will be better. As it is, Gottlieb was a whole hell of a lot better than the guy he replaced. Will that trend continue?

coin toss, very unsettling at the moment...at least Scott Gott pumped the brakes a little bit on the Deeming...this could be very bad.

I agree that there is a very good chance the next FDA chief will be worse for us.

But the thing that is SO depressing came from reading the comments for the article. Every anti-vaping comment was crystal clear in that the people are truly and honestly convinced that vaping and smoking are exactly the same, and that Big Tobacco is (and has been) running vaping as long as it's existed.

I firmly support CASAA and the other advocacy groups. But they've been a mouse squeak off in the distance while 1000 watt loudspeakers in every household are blaring so many untruths and junk science.

Vietnam was a long time ago. It seems we've forgotten the power of Hearts and Minds. I haven't, and that's why I see doom and gloom for all of us who have lengthened our lives doing something that "everybody knows" is bad for you, them, their children, and air quality.
I'm sure Big Pharma will let Trump know any day now who will replace Gottlieb :facepalm:

Had Gottlieb done nothing and simply allowed Deeming to stay on schedule, the vaping community would be gone by now and we’d all be either vaping behind closed doors, smoking cigarettes, or neither. That we are still legally buying gear and juice suggests to me Gottlieb has done more than pump the brakes a little.

BP can let Trump know who they want all day every day. He’ll pick whoever he wants. He hasn’t been much of a friend to BP.

It wasn't that ProVape couldn't keep up with the times (hi wattage). They chose not to keep up with the times. They were .... about safety and the market was going places that were out of their comfort zone. One catastrophe and they would have been finished. Just my opinion.

I agree, they certainly had the knowledge and ability to go with high wattage if they so desired. They were doing fine until the FDA started with the regulations and they chose not to be part of that.

I still use my Vari's on a daily basis and still feel they are safer than most.

I heartily agree. Not only do they remain safe, they still meet the meed of many vapers. When the original Radius came out and some complained of the low output, my response was that at 20 Watts it was easily double the Wattage of my usual vape.
I have moved on to a squonker but my Wattage remains at 11 Watts probably will until I am supremely forced to quit vaping

I'm DYING my coffee maker broke!!!! It just DIED.

I don't have a "backup" but trust me when I say that when I go buy a coffee maker I will be buying two.

I would go get some but I don't trust myself to drive on No Coffee Yet.

This really sucks. I was almost crying earlier. Now I'm in this kind of, well resigned despair where I'm like "maybe Adderall and diet pepsi will take care of things."

    Jeez.

Going to go look at rental houses tomorrow! But this morning.... gah.
