Bands I never "got" include the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and the Grateful Dead.
Maybe I am missing out but what I KNOW I am not missing out on is Bob Dylan (is he dead yet? Last I heard he was still touring which mad props and all but I am WAITING for him to die.
This is (while I understand his merit as a songwriter) because he was the ex husband's favorite musician. If I never hear another Bob Dylan song again, I don't mind. I will say I was shocked one time I was in a store playing "Elevatorish music" and some chick covered a song. I was shocked by its loveliness.
I would rather listen to a host of other musicians including Zappa the Who David Bowie, Tom Petty and the list goes on. Tom Petty is JUST nasal enough but man Dylan takes that a bridge too far.
I always kept hoping he would announce tonsil and adenoid surgery if it came down to surgery.
