Don't use a chainsaw much but they sure are handy when you need them. I have a corded electric 18" chainsaw I picked up at Lowes a few years ago. Seem to find a way to use it a couple of times a year and it's been flawless. Electric is convenient and don't worry about a gas burner chainsaw gunking up or something with limited use. Really enjoyed using that electric chainsaw. I also have a corded Sun Joe SWJ802E 9FT 6.5 Amp Electric Pole Chain Saw with adjustable head. That thing is SA-WEET !!! Love it, but of course a pole saw can only do so much.

EDIT: Also have the pole saw attachment for the Troy Bilt but the light weight grab and go Sun Joe has kicked the Troy Bilt pole saw to a wall in the shed.

I’m still old school I guess. Fixed and tweaked enough 2-cycle stuff that it’s not much of an issue anymore. I just fix it it. Plus you get more power out of gas equipment. But I certainly see the benefits of electric. Clean and simple. Most people don’t want to fuss with mixing gas and farting around with fuel mixture settings. I can understand that.

Nothing I have is 2-cycle. Never owned 2-cycle stuff. The Troy Bilt I have is 4-cycle. Can't say it's better or worse than 2-cycle. Dunno. Different power curve and no oil and gas mixing. This is the 3rd 4-cycle Troy Bilt head I've had in 13 years. You'd think I'd learn I guess but I already have all the Troy Bilt attachments invested in. Come to find out, those Troy Bilt attachments will fit just about any other vendors head that accepts interchangeable attachments, except Honda which has a proprietary attachment configuration.

EDIT: I too enjoy piddling with, fixing, adjusting and maintaining stuff ... I just ended up with too much stuff LOL and said the heck with it, I'll try electric. So far so good. Wouldn't recommend it for commercial or anything with a few acres but electric is now a viable option for residential homeowners. That Kobalt mower is lighter than my Craftsman mower. Maybe can see self-propelled as a NEED for a mower the size of my 22" Craftsman although I've never needed it and certainly not for the light weight 21" Kobalt, but self-propelled is an option. I don't need self-propelled on the Kobalt and just figured it would use up the battery quicker. The 5.0 Ah 80V battery lasts a long time though. I cut mine and the next door neighbors front and back yard before a recharge and it still has 1-2 of 3 lights lit on the battery. Of course the battery is new and will degrade. Think it will last about 5-6 years or so from what I can find out. In the mean time, no gas, no oil, no air filter and no sparkplug. OH, and full recharge currently takes less than an hour. The dang charger has a fan built into it to keep things cool LOL.

I wasn't really serious. BUT, a 42cc weed whacker could make life a little easier on a hot, humid day.

what is the weight on a 42cc? is it a four stroke?

I bought Red Max TR2300s: RedMax Trimmers TRZ230S, about twelve years ago, it's a two stroke. It was a pro grade model, and all I've had to do is replace the fuel stopper, line and clunk, and the air filter and spark. Mine has been a huge time saver at keeping the rough stuff cleared and trimming the small areas where the mower can't fit.

I got a row of hedges that grow like wildfire, and got a corded trimmer. The size of them hedges requires being on a step ladder, (mine is aluminum)...and last fall I needed just that little extra bit of cord, and the only one I could find unpacked...was GREEN!!!:unsure::facepalm:

all of a sudden there was a series of big blue sparks!!!:facepalm:

Great LP!
I have (had, now) it on cassette. FF & RW it for playback, the little cushion thing fell off so I played the CD I had recorded with it.
EDIT: I should clarify that. I made a CD from the cassette. Back in'06, I bought a Sony CD recorder. Made CD's from all my albums and cassettes. Did one a day, took me three (3) years.

Wait...........RINGO???

o_O

:D

He was an underrated drummer (in the public eye, not among musicians). I'm far from a big Beatles fan (although they'll always get my respect), but if you look closely into his work you might find a surprise or three.

No guarantees but possibilities remain endless. ;)

So not this?

kate_moss_playboy.jpg

I went to the Playboy club in NYC decades ago. I'd waited a lifetime to get there. I was so excited. Then I found out my server was a Rabbit. One drink and an expensive cheap lighter, which got lost in a cab later, and I was outta there, never to return.

I'm almost afraid to ask what a Rabbit is (obviously always walked straight past the place), but I have my suspicions.

Don't laugh my kid was into those models. They are EXPENSIVE. The kid gets a little obsessive we visited my brother and there was a startrek museum. My brother noted with amazement my son could name every model of every ship ever made. LOL. My brother was like, "How long you been into this and my kid was like "3 months."

They sit in a shed, gathering dust. He had four. Those suckers are NOT cheep.

WOooHOoo !!! Received my backup Black 2.5 Mini today :)
Listed as "NEW" ... "Tested"
After I removed the dried up juice from on and around the center pin, cleaned all the black gunk from the threads and swapped out a blemished extension cap (3 or 4 very small tiny flaked spots in the finish) with a pristine extension cap I already had on my Black 2.5 currently in service ... it looks pretty dang new LOL. Couple more q-tips were used but you get the idea.
I'm very happy to have a backup and did leave glowing feedback on the bay. This one is now packed back up and stored for future use.

EDIT: Just thought about it. The small tiny flake spots in the finish of the extension cap COULD have occurred in shipping. The Stainless 2.5 end cap was loose in the box. The finish on the mod itself is flawless !!! Anyway, I lightly touched the spots up on the extension cap with a sharpie and put that extension cap on the Mini I'm using right now. Not even noticeable AT ALL, so no biggie. And to give the seller the benefit of the doubt, the "stuff" I removed MIGHT maybe partially mostly be grease oil and such left on at the factory. Anyway, it wasn't from ProVape so who knows how much testing went on. Looks and performs good as new now regardless. I'm a happy camper :) ... Even came with a Black ProVari Beauty Ring AND an extra stainless aftermarket ring. BONUS !!!

On another note, I forgot what if anything, the "C" might mean on the ProVape box sticker? Ideas? Anything to do with the display color maybe? ... this one is red.

LOVE it, Hobbs!!!

I think the "C" stood for Cerakote (back in the day). I'm not certain of that though.

I got invited to the Playboy Mansion out in Cali but never went. Friends and coworkers wanted to strangle me. I was also asked to go out there to be in a porn movie. Could've killed two birds with one stone I suppose but it all seemed a little to much for me.
