COULD ... have knocked me over with a feather,
but Mason chose something similar to a bowling ball. Shoot

UP in the Diner ~~~
* HEY ... Mac *
Cheddar Chicken Mac & Cheese with Green Onions and Peas and some shots of Cholula Hot Sauce ... Cholula Hot Sauce is a brand of chili-based hot sauce, manufactured in Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico, and licensed by José Cuervo. Pretty darn good. Thanks Mac. Bon Appetit :)

North of Detroit, way south of Heaven
Jackie was driving me to Doctor's today. Squirrel ran out in front of her. She said, "Sorry squirrel!" THUMP, THUMP. It was in the relocation location. I wondered if it was one that was relocated, saw us coming, decided to end it all being 11 miles from home and wanted us to feel guilty...?

lol...that is just spectacular. (and off I go down an oldies rabbit hole. Happens about twice a week)
The dance gig is actually "The Rich Man's Frug" from the 1969 movie Sweet Charity. Choreography by Bob Fosse, lead dancer Suzanne Charney. Costume design Edith Head. Nutbush City Limits was just played over the top of it when someone put it together a couple of years ago. Worked out pretty good LOL. The lovely and talented lead dancer in that video, Suzanne Charney is 75 now !!! ... where does the time go ~~~

EDIT: Here's the original scene from "Sweet Charity" (1969). I like the Nutbush version MUCH better LOL. Suzanne Charney had gotten here break when cast as a featured dancer on Hullabaloo, if you remember that show.

In the middle of the night when the Diner is just about closed and the whole neighborhood is home and sleeping ... and a young possum sits gazing into the sanctuary from a large tree and dense brush over the top of the big green wall ... someone gets excited ...

Okay ... since I'm posting too much. Sharing too much. This isn't facebook y'all ... I just feel comfortable with yous guys, enjoy the banter and hope to entertain a bit in my own way I guess ... last pics of the night. Can't have the goatskin pillows on the the sofa unless I'm in the room. Mason (the boy dog) might/will chew them up. Both prints were curb finds (different curbs). Recently found the Charles Wysocki "Young Gentleman" (with poodle I think). It isn't hanging because I think I'll toss it too. Not my style and can't find a place for it. "Evening Serenade" by Kinuko Y. Craft isn't much my style either but I've exchanged personal emails with the artist, so there's that. In one exchange, Kinuko writes:
Dear Mr. Hobbs,
"Evening Serenade" is a re-titled piece of art I originally created as a book cover for "A Song for the Basilisk," written by Particia A. McKillip in 1997. Hope this helps--and glad you like it!
Very best wishes,
Kinuko
Wysocki (died 2002) actually also did "Young Gentlewoman" but this is the only one I have. If I had both ... I'd prolly toss them out together I suppose.

... Pic of the two Wysocki's found on the interwebs ...

... and I also found this platoon pic on the curb. It's a long shot but I've posted it on "my" veteran's forum to see if anyone from Platoon 2 FT Dix NJ APR 16 1981 would like to have it. Lots of comments but no takers yet. Hooah !!!

Found on curb of older home, down the street and around the corner. An elderly couple did live their. From a distance, I saw them and visitors from time to time over the last dozen years or so, but never met them. They're gone now, either passed away or in a care facility. The house is being cleared out.

There were a couple of boxes of framed family photos, some going all the way back to what appeared to be the late 1800's. There were several military pictures, both Army and Navy but most were individual random military pictures. This was the only one that was a formation group shot. My guess is that maybe their son is in it or maybe a (former?) son in law. I just don't know. All I know is if it meant something to family members cleaning the house out, they wouldn't have put it on the curb. I live in the oldest neighborhood in town and find mostly useless but maybe interesting stuff while out walking around from time to time.

Ungh. No yoga for me this morning I am TIRED. Thank Goodness it's Friday.

My stab wood thing and tank are waiting for my signature at the PO.

I'm feeling vaguely sick. Dr. Conduct Disorder did something SO inappropriate yesterday. I mean, maybe that's good. Or not. IDK. But LESS than two weeks between severe scolding and then this type of behavior.... That's not promising.

I emailed it. I want a paper trail at this point. My boss gets it. Her response: do not see ANY of his patients today in case something happens. (I do legitimately fear something BAD is going to happen at this point.)

His boss: Does not get it. "I will l reach out to him tomorrow." It took everything I had not to email back. "Thanks/… Could you NOT though?"

This is one of these situations where you don't want to give in and reward the person's bad behavior…. I don't anyway, although I am at the point I DO want that. I cant' take much more.

It is also a situation where you want to be like, "I am never working with you again."

It may end up the latter. If it does, I may let it get set up all like that and then be like, "Well, I'm going to have a lot of lost productivity from this, per Dr. Psycho's assessment he sees "half the patients in the clinic." So, maybe he should compensate me for every lost patient I would have seen but will not see.... If he hates IBH so much."

I think if I do it deadpan and serious enough, he might explode. IN the meeting. That would be super great.
