Wow. Just by accident, I noticed that on page number 1000 you made post number 20000. There's something weird and amazing about that. I think you've won something. And I hope it doesn't hurt too much.

GETdafugout!!!!!!!!

:banana::rickroll: :bday: :toast: :vapor:

What'd I win (and thanks for the contest!)?

I've just found out, to my shock, that the Kabuki has been discontinued (even the 510 one). Anyone got any idea why? Were they not selling anymore?

Ali.

I'm pretty sure that Mike stopped making them quite a while ago. He had initially moved completely away from the 510 versions, but then re-released a certain number (unknown) at the tail end. Unless I'm mistaken, anything that is/was still available were leftover from those runs.

At one point he made a public announcement that he was getting out of the atomizer game, but did leave it open for possible change. At one point he was fairly active on Facebook but I don't know if that's still the case. Whatever he's doing, I certainly hope he's well.

A lot of what I just typed was older news, and it's very possible some of the folks here know more, and/or updated information from this. I don't follow him too closely (or anyone for that matter), so maybe someone else will chime in with a more solid response.

I had not heard this, but I also have not been actively searching for info either. I've not seen Mike being active anywhere.

I remember just after the Deeming he did a long interview in which he said he was no longer going to deal with the US market. He said then that even at its best it was just a small number compared with what he sold in China.

He did some fairly recent updates to the Kabuki, though I didn't entirely understand what he'd done nor why. Those seem to have disappeared. After the deeming, Zen seemed to be very coy about his descriptions. I suppose that was to avoid stating openly that the item was new and came after the deadline date.

And if that didn't muddy the waters enough, he sold the ZFO rights to another person. That site quickly turned into one selling mostly China stuff, including Billet Box counterfeits and counterfeit atomizers to fit a boro. I had a couple of dealings with the guy and neither made me interested in doing further business there.

But I still see a couple of Kabukis for sale - one granite finish and a B stock with cosmetic flaws. There's no way to know the stock levels so perhaps they are the last of the dinosaurs still roaming the earth.

Excellent, GG, as always. And you reminded me that I was looking on his site the other day....

Mike Adorbs, KD has MUCH more patience that the DPL. And since you didn't answer, I gave your number to 57 of my nearest and dearest friends. Oh are YOU gonna be popular!!!!! :D

And it's not "rat", Longolino. It's Kat. The Kat is out of the bag.

Welp, almost anyway.

Thanks for the explanations about Mike (HoH). Sad yes but understandable given the anti-vaping stance the USA is taking. Thankfully the Kabukis last for ever and I have two 510 Kabukis (with Cleito Fatboy glassware). By necessity I'm having to move away from my Provape mods due to the positive pins and grommets failing and being unable to get them repaired. I've moved to Aspire Pegasus mods which are well built and work fine for low wattage vaping (7 to 9 watts).

(The black marks on the Pegasus are reflections). The Cleito Fatboy glassware works perfectly with the Kabuki 510.

A few months ago, I heard that Zen was still selling some stuff. A person on the DIY thread knows him and gave the link. He also said Zen doesn't like to be called anything other than Zen (I was chastised for using his first name, lol).

    I miss ProVape.

You could go to their current website, and like, that may cure your woes.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce-- I may have fried a Radius board. I'm not saying why. It's too shameful. Suffice it to say, I have now returned to coffee cups with lids and I HATE them but I'm getting used to it.

I have a few more things to try, but like, I just am gonna let it sit a bit more but early signs are not encouraging, This means I am going to have to dig out my old beater P3 and start using it, because my non 510 threaded Kabuki was on there. I suppose I could try to find the adaptor but like, I have no clue where it is. I HATE how like, when you look for something it's ALWAY the last place you look. It should be the first place you look.

I do not deserve vaping gear. To be fair to myself (I guess) I like, worked 15 hours of overtime IN the office. I knew if I went home I would not do it. My fingers are still burning.

Got handed my "super special headphones' they look expensive they are also the kind that only has ONE earpiece and I HATE those. I may wind up having to buy something from Walmart after ALL. I so should have mentioned it but like, I always forget those horrors of earphones even EXIST.

Will see as I train this weekend, I guess. I just... I deserve a morning of down time I SO do, and etc.

    Sigh.

thats the biggest part of finding something...

is establishing where it is not.

After first looking in my hand, the next place I look for lost stuff is in places where it's not supposed to be. If it is where it was supposed to be I would have found it.

Is this a fairly recent development? He used to send messages and sign them, "Mike".

    Crazy vapers?

    Are there any other kind.
