Hang tough, buddy. Do your best. It’s what you’re supposed to do and you’re doing it. Thanks for checking in.I'm still kicking, I eat what I can. Still no appetite and I reach a point where I know if I try to swallow, I will lose what I already ate, so I try to eat small amounts spread out through the day.
Wound up in the ER a couple weeks ago with super high BP and tachycardia, they gave me some IV fluids and magnesium and got my BP under control. My EKG's and other stats are strong. I felt a lot better after that, guess I was severely dehydrated. I'm just living each day as it unfolds, if I sleep till 2 in the afternoon, so what. All of you have been an inspiration to me on my journey and I thank you all for being you.
What is the prognosis KAS?Hi everyone, I had eye surgery today on my right eye, for Glaucoma. What I had today is called Trabeculectomy, evidently my case was too severe for laser eye surgery to be effective. I had it done at 8:00AM this morning, when I got home I ended up laying down and slept for 4 hours. I have a eye patch on that I think will come off tomorrow, I am off work until Monday, & have a lifting restriction of no more then 5LBS, this should do away with the stupid eye drops that I have been doing for years now. I just needed to share this somewhere, I hope everyone is well.

Going to have to wait until tomorrow, before I know any more, just hoping the eye pressure goes down. What is the prognosis KAS?
Keep us posted.Going to have to wait until tomorrow, before I know any more, just hoping the eye pressure goes down.
Best wishes to you KAS that the procedure is going to be successful for you. The doc's have me on a Glaucoma 'watch'. I take drops every night for the last couple years and get checked every 6 months. So far the doc's say I'm doing OK the pressure is holding steady and not cause for concern yet.Hi everyone, I had eye surgery today on my right eye, for Glaucoma. The last time my pressure was checked it was a 28, (should be around 12 to 15) and that is with 2 types of drops, That is what got me here. My oldest brother 11 years older then me, is just now on the drops, which is working for him. Not sure why me the youngest, has been affected first in the family, but what ever. We are the first in our family line that has showed this, we think it is because we have lived longer then our elders did.Best wishes to you KAS that the procedure is going to be successful for you. I forget how high it was when I was put on the 'watch' ... but certainly no were near your 28. Maybe in the high teens. My last checkup I was 16 and 17 just over the 'legal' limit. The last time my pressure was checked it was a 28, (should be around 12 to 15) and that is with 2 types of drops, That is what got me here. Some of us (incl me) never suffered from anything like this so it's a little hard to imagine. How is your actual sight?I will, I am not sure when I will find out if the pressure has been reduced, it might be after I am done dealing with this specialist, he can most likely check the eye pressure.

This is just in my right eye, my left eye is fine. In the right eye, the lower left section there is no vision, so about a third vision loss, the rest kind of depended on the pressure. With the pressure so high, vision was blurry and hard to read some things. Some of us (incl me) never suffered from anything like this so it's a little hard to imagine. How is your actual sight?
