Just an update about this group disappearing for me, mainly to thank all those who offered help. Thank you!

It's still pretty confusing. This has been a watched forum for me for many many years and I rechecked it after the new software. It used to work properly. The work around I chose was to put a bookmark on the top bar of Firefox. That is a quick and easy way to get here, but sadly it does not update and only takes me to the message in view when I made the bookmark. I can deal with that. At least I don't have to click incessantly trying to find my favorite place on ECF.

The function used to work perfectly but now disappears at random times. The others in my watched groups have always worked. The strange thing about it is that when I get a notification from one of those and pull down the bell icon, this group is not included even when I find there have indeed been messages. All groups are set with the same options.

So much ado about nothing, but stressing again my thanks to all who gave advice.

Anika Nilles drums and Frank Itt bass both from Germany. Anika was Jeff Beck's last touring drummer. The lady can flat out play. She has some excellent videos with her band and also solo playing on her YT channel.

Who was that young chick that was playing bass for Jeff Beck? Wondering if that was his daughter or granddaughter or something.

Tal Wilkenfeld from Australia. She's not related to Jeff Beck. Tal got the gig as Beck's bassist after his longtime bass player Pino Palladino couldn't make a show. She then got the gig for Beck's 2007 European tour at 21 years of age. She served as his regular bassist in his live bands for 3-4 years before moving on.

Tal's played bass live and on recorded projects for many. Including David Gilmour, Ringo Starr, Dr. John, Jackson Browne, Joe Walsh, Sting, Chick Corea and Eric Clapton to name but a few. She's been doing her own solo thing with her band for several years now.

Tai is the real deal, and that reminds me of another. Gail Ann Dorsey. Like Chrissie Hynde, she was from the US but had to move to Europe to make her mark. She was Bowie's bassist for quite a while and I believe she played in some other well respected bands,
I almost hate to post this link since it is truly potato quality, but the sound is decent. It's the only time I've seen her on a YT vid so you take what you can get.

The thing for me about Carlos is his musicality. He's in the group of the very best ever, but his playing is so melodic and lyrical that's it is always beautiful stuff. A very different way of displaying your mastery with no particular effects or flash - just a great sense of "pretty"
