Putting Coils in Posts

Heya, so the first time I was taught how to put dual coils in a 3 post atty, the person told me the wire that loops over goes inside the middle positive post and the loop that goes under goes on the side negative posts.
However, I had my coils rebuilt again, and this other guy put both the loops that go under into the middle positive post and the loop that goes over into each negative post.
I rebuilt my own coils yesterday and I put the loop that goes under in the middle post, but now I'm confused because I thought you were supposed to put the loop that goes over into the middle positive post and the loop that goes under into each negative side post. I've also watched plenty of YouTube videos and people do it either way.

Makes no difference alangoooo. Do it whichever way suits you best.

The only difference in the end is the angle of the coil when you are finished. If you want a horizontal coil, align the legs with the correct post hole height. I.e. Low, low, high, high. Doing the opposite will leave the coil tilted up in the center. It is an interesting experiment to ply with the angle that the air hits the coil. If you are using a microcoil, you don't have to worry about hot legs, if not, you might. If you get harsh hits, that is what I would suspect. With spaced coils, long legs sometimes do that if they aren't kept close to the posts.

rebuilt the coils, I'm getting better I think? it ended up at 0.7 ohms so .35, which is really low, maybe I should put more wraps and tighter wraps next time? or actually both ended up at .7 so each was around 1.4. I molded the wire on a screwdriver and wired the wick through, maybe that's why it's not so tight. I just thought it would make a nicer coil

I read the 3.5 and went...oh crap. .7 is ok. 3.5 requires a pretty specific battery, I can only think of three that will pull that safely. If combined is .7, soak it and rip it. You might not like it, but you will learn something

maybe im looking at it wrong but your coils dont match you have 5-4 wraps and 4-3 wraps on the other coils have to match otherwise you will get mixed results

I thought I made them the same, but I made a new one. combined they ended up at 1ohm which is safe right?
new coils are the same material except I did 5 wraps

Um I see six wraps and you should spread the coil out from each other a bit more. When counting the wraps the outside is what you go by not the inside so this wiould be 6outside 5inside. Thats why when alot of us post our coils we say something like 6-5 wraps. But yes 1 ohm is good. Check out the micro coil thread those will have a higher ohm reading and could be easier to wrap in my opinion.
