Parts:
1 - 1/2 in. to 1/2 pvc coupling
1- 1/2 in. reducer coupling
Radio Shack Coaxial jack size-m #274-1582
momentary push buttons/switch off a old VCR
Epoxy Putty
USB cord from dead mouse

The switch is recessed to prevent accidental power on. Using the epoxy putty I was able to set the switch at just the right depth.

Nulli, How did you connect the M jack to the PVC?

Plumber's Epoxy Putty (found in most hardware stores), it's like clay and hardens in 20 mins. I tie a small knot in the end of the USB cable and use the epoxy putty to seal the other end too. Everything else is soldered.

Here's a crummy shot of the tip. I recessed it because I could. Still need to sand it down for a smooth finish.
