PVs, nicotine as a hunger supressant?

Here's one for you all...

Does the nicotine in PV vapour still act the same as an analogue? Or is it a combination of the chemicals in an analogue that produces the effect?

The headrush and high is definitely a lot more intense in analogues... I wondered if anyone has experienced any differences in the hunger suppressant effect since swapping to PVs! :)

Personally, I actually quit the nicotine altogether using my 901 and plain flavours... but then discovered I couldn't stop filling my face! I have since started back up on a medium strength nicotine in my juice... now I'm only pigging out half as much! lol

I think this discussion relates to why PVs are so successful as a way to stop smoking cigarettes; they are the only alternative that actually satisfies the psychological need. The need to put something in your mouth, if you will. For me, whether or not nicotine suppresses hunger, and I think it does to an extent, is secondary to the fact that I don't feel the need to be putting munchies in my mouth when I can have a vape instead.

I've had the opposite happen to me, I am barely hungry at all and am eating half as much as I did before I started vaping.

I had smoked analogs for 40+ years, Marlboro Reds, 1 1/2 packs a day. I started vaping for the first time 7 days ago and from the first "drag" I have not wanted another analog, nor have I had one.

Since I had smoked for so long, and had smoked Marlboro Reds for all of those years, I decided to use a 36mg strength juice, Marlboro flavored. Maybe it is the high mg strength I am using but I have had to actually "force" myself to eat ever since I started vaping.

The different behaviours IS interesting. I mean... I'd LIKE the hunger suppressant side of it to work! I'm trying to lose a bit of weight caused by eating when giving up completely! LOL

I sometimes find that vaping my caramel/butter rum/pecan flavoured juice it actually makes me hungry! Its like... mmm, now I WANT that in my mouth for real!

I have found I don't eat as much....I had contributed that to enjoying vaping more than eating but it could be part of the nic effect too Nicotine acts as an appetite suppressant, possibly, because it triggers the release of endorphins (adrenaline) which then triggers the release of stores of glucose to your cells.

I would swear I've lost weight in the last almost 28 days...at least in my face LOL
(sucking is a challenge to the cheek muscles sometimes LOL)

I am hungry!! Sometimes the hunger is so intense! Analogs majorly suppressed my appetite, so far I think my taste buds are coming back but I am eating good things now, apples are so good! I always found them to be a bit tasteless before lol!
What about salads? I actually love eating them now. When I smoked, I only ate them because I thought I should. Now they actually taste good. And breakfast? I never ate breakfast when I smoked but I get ravenous in the mornings now. I also enjoy the fact that I have more energy and feel like exercising or going for a long walk when I get home from work instead of crashing in front of the TV or computer.

It definitely suppressed my hunger. My first few days, when I was vaping 12-18mg all day long, I barely ate at all. I was also staying up until 3 or 4am and waking up at 8am for about 5 days straight.

I've since switched to 0mg with "smoke breaks" at 12-18mg. My appetite has returned and my sleep schedule has normalized again.

I must be weird or something. I haven't tried vaping as they are still in the mail, but as a smoker of almost 20 years, I find that if I am even slightly hungry and have one or two cigarettes, the hunger only grows.
This happens more in the mornings. For instance I just had my second cigarette and I am literally starving at the moment. I'll have to see what effect vaping has to this but to be honest, I can do without it.
