Hey all,

I have built low, and I have bought high (2.2 Ohm clearos :p). I love fogging up my house with these amazing sub-ohm tanks (Atlantis v2, Subtank Plus, OG Atlantis). The vapor production, and flavor is even better with my RDAs at .3Ohms. I'm just getting bored taking HUGE pulls, and expelling an obscene amount of vapor if I am out (work, store, car). I'm not a ........ about it to other people (never in a crowd, never in a store, never in a non-designated "smoking area") I just can't seem to find a happy medium :(

I *like* my nautilus Mini. I like the idea of tootle puffing, I like not having to carry a backpack with juice, wire, wicks, batteries, and screwdrivers with me for those "just in case" moments where a coil gets funky and I have to wrap another one.

I just am not satisfied with the amount of vapor I am getting from my tootle puffing rig. I have used the 1.2 ohm coils on my Subtank, and LOVED those, I have had more fail than I have gotten to work for more than a day or two at most, but that day or two was great for me (when they worked)

TL;DR Version: I'm looking for a good tootle puffer setup with minimal maintenance. I already have the Nautilus and Nautilus Mini, and several mods that range from iStick 20w to the Sigeli 150w. I would even be interested in an RTA if one comes to mind.

Any help would be appreciated. Even suggestions on how to get the most out of my Nautilus/Mini if you feel that's the best solution. I use all different ratios of liquid from 70 PG (not very often) up to 90 VG.

Thanks ECF <3

So... Cloud chaser turned tootie puffer? Hmmmm... :w00t:

o_O

I agree with the previous poster ^^^^. Try a kbox mini kit. The tanks that comes with those you can either buy prebuilt coils or build your own on the RDA deck that comes with it. With that setup you can do either.

Have you tried the newer 1.5Ω vertical coils for the subtank?

I was looking at those, but I'm not getting much life out of the .5Ω vertical coils so I'm afraid to invest $15 if I have to replace them every week.

Tootle Puffing and huge clouds, this seems to be a built-in contradiction, IMHO.

(As for 2,2: about one year ago, before the subs began marching in, 2,2 was simply normal. No problem with 2,2 at all, one of my clearos runs on 2,5 :D )

Yeah... I could have worded that a bit better :p I'm not looking for huge clouds, just a good combo of low wattage, with amazing flavor, and a good whisp of vapor to make me giggle. :)

If you are looking for low maintenance; high VG and highly flavored (especially sweet) eliquids gunk coils fast no matter what you put them in.

If you like the Subtank mini I would use the RBA section. With a lightly flavored (2-5%) 50/50 mix I get a week, at 66/33 two or three weeks out of a wick at 12W. 2.3mmID 28awg 8-10 wrap contact coil.

sorry, I forgot to tag @Boden as he is also a tootle master.

I really wouldn't call myself a cloud chaser... But Yes, I have exclusively used sub ohm setups since April 2015 and now I want to dial it back.

The RBAv2 for the STm is the way to go, I build mine at 1.2Ω and vape them at 21 and 20 watts using 60vg/40pg 8-12mg nic (haven't decided on a nic level yet). On my black STm I took a piece of electrical tape and blocked off one of the airflow slots (see pic), I set the open AF to the medium sized hole. On my white one (same build, 20watts, same juice) I just have it set on the smallest AF from both slots, it is my stealth vape for when I am at my desk at work, both vape great.

How much easier is it to build on the v.2 deck? I have tried the V1 deck a coupe times and could never get it to wick properly. It always spit back WAY too much and I was wasting a lot of time and materials :(

Build spaced coils, neither one of mine ever spit, unlike when I have tried contact coils, which did spit and also ran hotter.

The wicking is pretty easy, nothing tricky, but you do have to get it right. I just cut my wick a few mm above the wall then tuck them down (not packing it). Cover the holes completely and it should wick perfectly, granted, if you change the wattage, juice viscosity or build contact coils YMMV. Mine never leak and I don't get dry hits. There have been a couple times I thought I got the wicking right, but got dry hits, a quick re-wicking, or sometimes just adjusting the cotton, has always solved it.

Aaaah... This is very difficult to suggest lol... I am a tootle puffer that is dreaming to be a cloud chaser lol... Very contradicting ;)
Yeah yeah yeah, hahaha I guess I REALLY could have worded this better... I'm heavily leaning towards the Subox kit though. I have the options for both worlds and another mod never hurt :p
