i keep hearing that "it's better, it"s better" but unless i'm just completely missing them, i haven't seen any concrete reasons.
can someone please humor me and spell out exactly why it's better than the 808 i'm currently using?

One point is that you don't need the primer puff, it just works right away. And the cartomizers are made differently so they don't burn (or take a whole lot of abuse before they do) There are some pictures and reviews 'out there' to show that.

LOL - ejoker, how ya doin?

IMO, and only IMHO - the bloog reigns supreme in the analog sized e-cig category. Concrete reasons? Being a former 808 user, I reach for my bloog first, and my 808 gear is used in case of emergency.

Better is subjective ... but, here are some keep points:

The Cartos are VASTLY superior - they draw so well, hold more and 'process' juice more efficiently, they heat the juice up much better and produce a warmer vapor. They last forever, (I have still yet to crash a carto), are extremely consistent in terms of hits and flavor, and they don't burn,... ever.

The battery is also superior: It lasts longer on a single charge - 320mAh vs. 280mAh as compared with a standard 808, they have a lighter draw which takes some getting used to but overall - is better, the switching mechanism on the auto is so responsive that even the lightest draw brings the heat without being so sensitive that the heat is brought without drawing (in case you carry your e-ciggy in your pocket) - and, the batteries don't seem to 'clog up' - have you ever noticed that the more you use your 808 the tighter the draw becomes until you have to scrub your batt?

Overall, I was not a doubter and jumped right in - and now, nearly 2 months later - my opinion of the bloog has only strengthened.

The auto battery could easily be the best auto on the market, it holds a little more power than most KR8s, and the finish is very nice. If you already have manual batteries though, you don't need to worry about the Bloog battery unless you want a good performing auto.

The cartomizers are the big advancement. They don't burn the filler and they wick extremely well. This gives them great flavor and tons of vapor.

Here comes the rookie question: I see people saying they had trouble with them tasting burnt. When I put the Maxx Fusion carto onto my auto Vapor King, it tastes/smells burnt immediately. I take it off and put back onto my Bloog, and the angels sing. I was under the impression that these cartos could be used on a KR808, and while it fits on there fine, it doesn't seem compatible. (here comes the rookie part) I know nothing about volts and amps and resistance, etc. Is the VK too hot/strong or whatever for the MF cartos? Are they meant to only be used on a Bloog?

I found that too when I swapped to V4L, MVS, and LiteCigUSA gear and I think I have an answer to this. The newer Bloog batts don't seem to get 'clogged' up as the older 808 batts do... I really do believe that the flavor you're getting is from excess juice or buildup which was an issue on the older 808s.

Ever notice that the longer you use an 808 the tighter the draw becomes? It's because it begins to clog up. Try cleaning the threads and clear the two airholes just beneath the two threads with a small pin. You also may want to CAREFULLY swab the air hole center battery but, be sure to not get any moisture in the interior...

I find that if you use a certain MF's brand batt and carto the results are usually better than swapping parts with other MF's. However, in theory, kr808 batts and cartos should be fully interchangable. All kr808 batts are 3.7V but the cartos all have slightly different resistances, which causes some issues. Bloog maxx fusion cartos ohms are inbetween the V4L Wow and Coolcarts ohms, but are probably closer to the Wow(LR). Any LR carto has the potential to burn, especially with a freshly charged kr808 batt, as they seem to come off the charger at 4.2V before sagging to their nominal 3.7V.

Batteries clogged up? Papa, I have some V4L batteries that are 1-year old and they never "clog up." Yes, cleaning the threads with a q-tip and a little Isopropyl alcohol is required for all batteries to keep them in good running condition, but I've never had a battery clog up on me.

And I had the dreaded burnt taste from the Bloog cartos on the Bloog batteries too. Both from the blanks and the prefilled ones. I know that Leaford is trying to get to the bottom of this.

That's exactly what Leaford said too. So really all I need to do with the VK is to use another carto for a bit til it 'calms down' then I can stick the MF on it. Although I haven't yet experienced any burning putting a MF onto a freshly charged Bloog, maybe I've just been lucky (looking for wood to knock on).
