I read a lot of the threads in the new members forum and it seems to be a lot of the same questions over and over again with questions like
Which one should i buy?
Who should I order from?
Is it dangerous?
Does it contain antifreeze?
Then the thread goes on for days and days with some of the members here offering good advice and a lot of us giving our personal opinions on what is good and what is bad. some of the threads go on for 2, 3, 4, 5 pages and even more.

So, my question is with all of this information being given to the noobs, how many of you actually have ordered an e-cig and are using one now? The reason I ask is because a lot of the noobs seem to have an endless amount of questions, but don't seem to be creating a new post and telling everyone what they think. maybe I'm just too nosy, but I would like to know what you all got and what you think about it.

To be fair I am aware of quite few who've come asking questions and then come back a few days later telling us about their new kit and maybe asking a few more questions now that they have got their gear.

I'm also quite nosey and do like reading posts by folks, especially those who've made a successfull transition from smoking to vaping. :)

Well I never asked any questions, but I read a bunch of them and the responses before buying a 510.

It's probably the best investment I've ever made. I haven't had an anlog in the 2 weeks that I've been vaping. I'm happy I switched, and my boyfriend was allergic to smoke, so he's really thrilled about the switch as well.

Well, I didn't post a "Which one" thread since there were so many already there and responded to with enough info for me to discern a choice that met my needs.
I got a 510 kit w/PCC last week and I really like it. It has surpassed my expectations as far as replacing the whole analog routine, but the 510 batts have now created a more frequent problem that refilling my Zippo.
I see a mod in my future.......

I'm a noob. I started out with the "Green Smoke" (yeah, I was green). I returned it for a refund (way too proprietary and expensive to use). The posts here seemed to suggest the 510 as an efficient way to go, so I bought a Titan. Then I missed the convenience of the 2 piece. So I bought a VK from V4L.

Now my 510 is for backup only. And definitely not for trips outdoors. The way I like to vape, I'd be topping off every 10-15 minutes.

Using the VK, refilling cartos and using an automatic pass-through, I can vape for an hour or more between top-offs, while nose vaping for flavor before inhaling.

When out of the house I can carry a couple of batteries and a few filled cartos to last for most trips. No bottles-no attys.

After using one originally pre-filled carto for two days, I have refilled it at least 30 times.
and it's still going strong. Showing no signs of dying.

If loving KR808D is wrong, I don't want to be right.

Well I did and I'm now two months into a new life. Yea there were days that I had a few analogs but am now completely off them. I'd say that in the two months I had about two packs but that was mostly due to the assorted problems that I had with my first few purchases. I also work offshore and there were times that my batteries were not charged so I bummed some smokes. The cool thing is that if necessary I can switch seamlessly if needed and I still want to get back to my e-cig. So my score is two months off a pack and a half a day habit to only two packs in two months with the last three weeks having no analogs. Still buying kits to find that just right for me device and still checking out different juices.

I lurked and read and assimilated before I bought my Joye 510. I searched out all my questions and had them answered without posting. After I ordered I signed up and introduced myself.

I got my kit today and have been vaping for about an hour. I LOVE it and I am so grateful to this forum for the wealth of information.

Thanks to optsmk for asking the question. At first, I agreed with Deschain, thinking most do get back to us but then seeing the responses afterwards is pleasing to know. So new members and lurkers speak up. This type of feedback is encouraging ;-) Even if you just post once! And thanks to the other responders!

I know from some surveys that the ratio of lurkers vs. actual posters can be quite large according to the subject matter and I'd encourage anyone lurking to join up and at least say 'Hi - I read the forum and decided upon x' etc.

I am sorry to say that I too was a lurker. But after 3 days of internet research (i.e. mostly here), I ordered an M402 black matte starter kit from Absolutelyecigs.com. And because of all this research, I ordered juices, extra cartridges, a syringe, & tweezers from several U.S. sites. I am particularly in awe of Shawn at LitecigsUSA.com. And soon he will be carrying M401/M402 manual batteries.

I haven't received my kit yet, but I will reply as soon as I have tried vaping for the first time.

I cannot thank all the members on here for all the great advice, tips & tricks, etc...

Thank You All!!!:):):)

I purchased a Red Dragon before finding this forum and had a problem after about a week or so (Red Dragon instructed me they had just updated batts and chargers. I could return mine for the updated model). After reading some previous posts, asking a few questions, and utilizing the Q&A section here I bought a KR808D1 and love it. I have had it for 16 days and have attempted to smoke 1 cigarette. After 2 or 3 drags I put it out. I have no desire to smoke. Can't see myself ever going back. I would like to find a stainless steel batt with blue led for mine if anyone knows where to get one. I can't find them.

I have been trying to quit smoking for over a year now. Nothing was working,
I saw one of those Smoking Everywhere kiosks at the mall was intrigued, but being the skeptical person I am I went online to do some research and found this site.

I spent hours on this site reading and decided to take the plunge and ordered myself a 510 starter kit. The day it came my husband and I both tried it and were very excited. It was different but we both thought that this might actually work.

It's been about two weeks now and I am amazed at how much I have cut down. I went from a pack/pack and a half a day to less then 10 a day! I'm hoping to transition fully and just today ordered a PCC.

I'd like to thank everyone on this forum. This place is so informative and supportive. If it wasn't for this forum I might not have tried PCs but everything I read here about people's experiences (and how I didn't have to pay $150 for one) made me think it was worth a try.

Now I'm hoping that maybe I can get my mom to try one of these...

I lurked here for about a month before taking the plunge. Read and watched everything. Ordered a 510 kit with PCC and extra juice from cignot. What a pleasure to deal with, even sent them my resume (they just hired some new help and aren't' looking). i also ordered some juce from TW, though it hasn't arrived yet.

I've had this 510 now for four days and well, it's just not cutting it in the nic department. I smoke Swisher Sweets little cigars and I inhale them. My friends won't even touch them they're so strong. I currently use 24mg, but ordered 36mg form TW. I hope that stuff does the trick. I have to constantly vape to get any satisfaction and I'm afraid I'm pushing my atty too hard. I love the taste and flavors and everything else, just not getting the nic. Plus I'm still trying to get a hang of filling the carts and not overfilling them. But I am learning. Just tonight I held a lighter to the end of the batt before realizing my level of cigarette conditioning.

When I get brave I will try the PTB mod and see if that helps me. I ordered five batts so batt life, while short is not an issue. I'm also learning to draw differently. Long and slow instead of short and fast. Getting used to it though.

Time will tell...

I went the lazy route, and bought a Volcano (Or Blu, or, J88b...or whatever you prefer to call it) and I have to say I'm enjoying it. Only day two with it so far, but I haven't had a regular cigarette since picking it up. Already put in an order for more carts, and another atty. Gonna see about getting some juice too.

My only complaint, is I sometimes get this...almost fishy taste from time to time while vaping.

Four days or so after on whim deciding to look up electronic cigarettes (prompted by seeing a Blu banner ad enough times and almost immediately finding this forum), and I was puffing away on a 510 starter kit from cignot. A pretty inexpensive risk to take on something that was likely to turn out to be a momentarily novel distraction and quickly forgotten. I am thrilled by the result, as I missed the joys of smoking tobacco and this not only fulfills that desire but exceeds it in enjoyability. It's not a weak imitation of another experience, it is a whole new fun activity in itself.

I ordered more 510 supplies and numerous juice flavors. The 510 being my first and only e-cig, I have been more than happy with it and await with anticipation my first 510-atty compatible PV mod. I will be trying out other models for fun, after seeing people rave about cartomizers enough times, I will be giving those a try.

I did a lot of online research and purchased a KR808D before actually finding this forum. I got it because it looked like a cigarette and seemed easy to use. I've been vaping now for about 3 weeks and enjoying it very much. I think I made the right choice for me with a 2 piece unit.

I lurked in the forum for at least 2 weeks gathering lots of great info that has helped me a lot. I'm happy with my KR808D and appreciate all the hints on cleaning and refilling cartomizers, buying e-juice and everything else.

Thanks for a place with such great people willing to share their experiences and help out us newbies.
