.....

I really dislike the threads that start with the OP asking for advice because their CE4 isn't working right and all someone else posts is buy a Protank 2 and a Vamo and throw that crap away. How is that helping?

It doesn't.

Everyone knows that the only good advice is to, "Get a ProVari and a Protank and throw that crap away"

I think we've all been guilty of just saying go with an EVOD or a Spinner or something. Sometimes it's in response to a direct question from the OP, but other times I know we're just saying what works for us and might not be the best choice for the OP's circumstances.

So I agree Ryedan, often all it takes is asking the OP why they decided to go that route, what is their budget or what are their needs before offering suggestions.

Because then they will have a VAMO and a Protank 2 and wont have to deal with that crap anymore? :)

I'm relatively knew and if I hadn't gotten replies on what to get on here my vaping experience wouldn't be nearly at the same level it is now.
I started with a blu e cig in 09 and it didn't work just was something I used while I was inside to take the edge off of wanting a cig. I restarted vaping with an ego and stardust combo in February of this year and was able to cut my analog consumption in half but It wasn't until I got a vamo after reading a bunch of reviews on this forum that I was able to fully quit. I smoked a pack a day of malboro reds and nothing was giving me the amount of vapor/throat hit I needed to replace analogs until I got my vamo in June.

Now I have 3 genesis,2 rba's, 2 mechanicals, a Vamo v3, 3 vivi novas, 2 iclear 30s, 4 carto tanks, a protank, aga t2, smok rsst, agi, igo-l, igo-w, 3 ego batteries, and keep at least 300ml of juice on hand at a time.

I think all people dive into things differently. To some vaping is a tinkering hobby where they are always trying to get better performance from their setup while for others it is simply a way for a person to quit smoking. I find the best advice always lists multiple options catered to and dependent upon what the new user is looking for.

It would be nice to have a specific section that could teach, I'm still a noob myself, and have found it difficult to navigate the different areas of this forum, that could possibly help me with what I'm dealing with, I've seen things that should be a sticky buried at the bottom, and things stickied that aren't helpful or don't need to be that easy to find, because I'm use to forums just not this one, I always read stickies first and then start going through that specific sub forum.

Search bar is a great tool for those that utilize it. Or hell, even google. It will most likely bring you here anyways.

I don't disagree with this statement what so ever, many other factors to consider, like, a smartphone/tablet app, as well as google doesn't end with same result.

That section is already on ECF.

About 90% of the questions asked in this forum are answered in those stickies. I read them for days. Everything from inhalation technique to selection of the right models to how to pick the right liquids is covered, and a lot more questions are answered before you can even ask'em!
