My wife is using an original tact switch. I loved that switch

Yeah, much nicer to use. Great if you don't get one that fries. I loved my Protege when the tact switch was working, now I never use it. Fingers crossed on the new ones coming out but given the reception the Pv2 'upgrade' switch is getting I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

Seems like PS would go with something similar to what the BB or SB uses. You don't hear many complaints about those.

So, maybe these switch kits will be an exercise in futility. I'll try to install the o-rings when I get them. It's worth a shot. But I shouldn't have to go thru all this sanding and maneuvering to make the device work right. I'm not even sure what you guys are talking about because I'm not good with things mechanical. But then again, I shouldn't have to be. That's something the manufacturer should do before they sell the devices. I now own a Super T Super6 and several Chucks that work every time. Just insert batteries, attach the atomizer and drip the juice. We'll see what happens with the fix-it kit, but if my devices still don't perform properly, I think I'll just cut my losses and move on.

I agree totally we shouldnt have to go through all this and the new upgrade for them is worse then the original was. The only way I could get it to work was by sanding the little bit off where the contact resistor ring was but now the button works flawlessly every time and its a really quick easy fix so I didnt mind it but shouldnt have to figure things like this out on my own and fiddle the way I did for the money paid.

Also the contact ring is the source of corrosion, so you can take the ring off, sand it on 400 grit sand paper to make the ring shine through the corrosion then it will perform like new.

I was just gonna post about this but you guys are already on it...

I also stuck a spring from a ball point pen in there too... it's not as stiff as the one that comes with the v2.

My switch fires 99% of the time now... and when it doesn't its usually my fault for not pushing it hard enough.

I also cleaned the contact posts/terminals off with a drop of muriatic acid... it ate all that crud off and made the posts shine like new as well.
