Quick help please! Screwdriver MKII... Good for first upgrade from Ego???

I've got it in my cart at totally wicked. Just don't know if this thing is any good or not, and I've got 20 minutes to decide on their crazy revolving sale. I like the ego, but I'd be interested in something a little more powerful. No way can I afford something like Provari or Darwin. Basically I want it to be simple and powerful. Would you guys say this screwdriver thing is it, or am I better off with another model? BTW, can I even use my 510 cartos with this thing, or is it different altogether? If you like the looks I would go for an original Screwdriver from Troggs site itself with the 510 fitting.... The MKII is a 901 fitting if I remember correctly...

Ok, well that settles that! lol I just bought 8 boxes of the boge 510s, so not getting anything that i can't use with em. Thank you so much for quick response!

you could still use them but would need a 901 to 510 adapter only a couple of bucks from many vendors....

Oh, thats good to know! will keep that in mind. A friend is telling about some snazzy inexpensive box mod, so i may well end up doing that instead. Thanks so much for your help!

Yup get an adapter. TW has them! I have an SD MKII, and use all kinds of 510 carts with it. I love my SD! Just wish they made an even bigger one, with an 18650 battery!

I have both the Screwdriver mk-1 and 2 and love them both. If its your first mod I would go with the mk-2 and get an adapter, as the battery life is better on the mk-2, and if you want to travel with it, it comes with a bottom cap. There both great though.

Thanks so much, guys! I actually missed the little 'sale window' on it. Primary reason I was so intrigued by it is it was like 40% off. And cute! lol I'm interested in something that is a little higher voltage, I'm thinking. I'm now fantasizing about a GLV2 or a Red Rocket. We shall see what I can get my paws on. Really appreciate all the help! I'm just starting in the world of mods, and dang... there are a LOT of details and options!

The nice thing about the screwdriver is its all mechanical, which means virtually nothing go wrong. Its a great main mod or backup.
