Quick quesion about Malibu...

So, I finally decided to give Halo a try after all the hype I read on teh forums about how stellar their liquids are....(I'm one of those folks that will ignore something until all the hype goes away, THEN I'll check it out) and I gotta say....

OH. MAH. GOD.

I normally DIY all my own liquids (partially because I like to tinker with flavors (chef by trade), but mostly because I've tried other "it" juices, and was not impressed, in the least.), but this stuff... I gotta give it to Halo, it DOES live up to the hype. I ordered a sampler of the gourmet line (and got a free 10ml of the new VooDoo, thanks for that!) and of them all, the one I was most excited to give a shot at was the Malibu.

Got it in 12mg, and the flavor was what I'd hoped for. Spot on Pina Colada, with a cooling menthol kicker. Great for the west Texas heat! BUT...

is it supposed to be pink? I've never seen a pink liquid before, and it kinda caught me off guard a bit.

Other faves in the sampler include:

Shamrock (lemme tell you how much I've wasted on trying to find a good mint choc vape from the major boutiques....)
Kringle's (first good mint I've had that I didn't make that didn't reek of spearmint)
Twisted Java (this one totally caught me off guard, a mint mocha? love it. Reminds me of holiday season when I almost always do mint mochas in the morning!)
Belgian Cocoa (First good chocolate I didn't have to make, not perfect, but still really good. I know chocolate is a PITA to recreate, this does a great job though)

Cafe mocha is not what I'd hoped for so far, but hey, can't win them all, and taste is subjective, after all. Going to let it breathe and steep along with VooDoo...

Still not sure how I feel about VooDoo.

Malibu though, perfect and what I was looking for... but pink?

I'll certainly be ordering the variety sampler pack (want to try the two tobaccos in it along with Subzero. And I get some more of ones I know I actually love.) Its a winner for me. Probably add in a 30ml of Malibu as well, cause, well, I love it.

Anywhooo, thoughts from a rambling DIY'er about the quality and depth that Halo has to offer. I'll certainly be back for more.

It does tend to have a pinkish tint to it. Glad you're enjoying it so much!

Yep, my sample of Malibu is the same. Almost clear, but with a slight pinkish tint to it. Really good piña colada flavour.

If you like the slight menthol kick of Malibu, you might like Tiki Juice, as well. It has the same sort of cooling feel to it. I'm terrible at describing flavours, but it definitely reminds me of something to might drink (or vape, in this case) at a party with Tiki torches and girls in grass skirts. lol

Yup, Tiki is certainly on my radar! (especially since I am blessed enough to have a SO from Hawaii, so we go there for Christmas )
I might just add the Tiki (small bottle) to my next order, since sadly, its not in any of the samplers.

Good to know that the pink is normal lol. I kinda like it, since I can quickly ID what it is by the color... just waiting for my friend to start in about a "pink" juice though... wait.. I know, I vape Malibu in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.... yeah... that's it... heck, I wear a hot pink bandanna at work for that reason, actually.

And I play with verrrry sharp knives.

Yep, a bit of a pink tint to Malibu. Malibu really took me by surprise! I hoped to like it, but did not have huge expectations...now it is one of my summer-time got to haves.

One thing that I have noticed about each and every Halo flavor I've tried: While not each flavor is equally pleasing to my tastes, every flavor shows a very well-crafted balance to it, that almost no other ejuice vendor accomplishes.

I try ejuices from a number of fine vendors, but Halo ejuices never lose their unique allure to me.

Welcome to Halo!

I got the tobacco sampler, and fell for Tribeca, now my daily vape. I might try the gourmet sampler next, but I'm not quite ready to get away from tobacco flavors yet. I did pick up a lemon-lime flavor locally and it is enjoyable, but nothing like the sophisticated flavors of Halo.

I also like how I don't have to wait for the flavors to steep; they come ready to vape. 30 mL bottles are blue glass and have a dropper, while 10 mL are clear plastic; both have child-safe caps, and are labelled appropriately, including a safety warning.
