We usually keep canned air around near the computer so sometimes I'll use that to dry an atty. I have a compressor but it's not worth pumping the tank up to dry one atty.

I didn't even look through my bcf order yet. I'll take a look tonight. If I didn't make any mistakes, I should have everything to make the Dripping recipe.

Yay! I’m still waiting for BCF to get in the 10ml of FLV Apple filling for Nick’s Apple Flapple. I have everything in the cart for the Dripping recipe.

I'll have to go back and see what the steep time is on it. I have the lemondowski mixed and is probably steeped enough to try. Has anyone tried the WF caramel butter? I saw where someone was raving over it.

The steep time for Dripping is 7 days. I haven’t tried WF Caramel Butter.

It's very good, creamy type of caramel and easy to work with.

I bought 200 of those this morning. Great price but the shipping does double the per bottle cost. Still, a great deal since that is the bottle I really like. The code DIY takes another 10% off, which helps a little with that shipping charge. :)
I've recently switched to their 30ml ldpe unicorn bottles and like them better than chubby gorillas. The threads and cap stay juice free. Since I mix in beakers the narrow mouth doesn’t bother me. I've become a big fan of dropperbottles.com and will likely only use them in the future for plastic.

I was thinking to get some 120ml bottles to store nic in but I don't want 165 of them. I can't remember where I bought them last time but I got some 50 and 100ml bottles that have those funky plastic inserts that go in the top before you put the lid on.

@rosesense @hittman Those bottles are PET, so they're manufactured for one-time-use only. They are not the bottles you want, if you want to reuse them. PET is not leech-free (won't release plastic chemicals into the contents with repeated use), like the LDPE, PP, and HDPE.

    Thanks JC.

It turns out that I didn't win the $25 gift card at breazy. I found one but they were doing a drawing after that and giving away 10 cards. I was confused and had been emailing back and forth with them for a few days. They ended up giving me $10 in points for my "inconvenience". I didn't really feel inconvenienced. I thought that was really nice of them and already know something I want to order from their site. I already have 162 points so I will be able to get something at almost no cost.

The FDA says that it is safe to reuse PET bottles. The info that PET can leech plastic chemicals is, according to the FDA, a myth. From an article, "Where did these nasty water bottle rumors come from? The FDA claims they came from an e-mail hoax that went viral. The information claiming this chemical leakage stemmed from a University of Idaho student’s masters thesis. This thesis was not subject to peer review, FDA review or published in a scientific journal." You can find similar information from many sources.

That said, it isn't easy to pry the tip off the bottle to wash it out. I often refill PET bottles with the same flavor that they did originally contain but at this price, tossing one (except for environmental factors) doesn't bother me.

@NotSoMini - I looked for my sft of FA Lemon Zest and don't have it. I am sorry. My notes for that flavor were lost when my HD crashed back in February. All I recall, off the top of my head, I was thinking it would work best in bakery and dessert recipes. I will mix up another sft and check it out again.

I'm inclined not to believe much of what the FDA says nowadays, personally. The info. I have about the various plastic types, their uses, any concerns with them, etc., didn't come from 1 of those ridiculous hoax emails that circulates. It's from many environmental websites and others. I choose to believe them over the FDA. But...that's just me. :)
