Placed a Chefs order, since there was a sale ;). I probably bought some iffy for me stuff, but I wanted to step out of my comfort zone. Never know until you try something, and I wanted to try some one shots. Very interested in the Welsh Custard, as it’s supposed to be like a favorite juice (bought for years before he went commercial), CoilVapes Dis Won. It’s an eggy, vanillay, rich custard.
Hope you like it. I skipped the sale. Just nothing I need. I just piffed a bunch of iffy and too sweet stuff. Don't need more.

I have a bunch of tobaccos coming from BCV tomorrow. Most are from FA but I do have an INW, FLV, and a HS in there. I am doing sfts on these. I saw in a video the other day that TFA, FW, and CAPs are generally done at 5% and FA, INW, and FLVs at 1 - 2%. I believe they were speaking of non-tobaccos more than tobacco.

    Thoughts on sfts flavor strengths??

    I mixed SFTs today!

Since I've been in the mood for something tobacco-y, I mixed up most of the tobacco flavors that I have to see how they differ from each other. I also mixed up a 30ml bottle of Tobacco Absolute (from paste, don't know why I thought it was powder o_O ) in PG, BUT didn't add any EM, as OSDIYS's site suggests (read it wasn't really necessary). It took a few med-hot water baths and lots of shaking to get that stuff to dissolve, but it's done (glad I made a 30ml  ) and put it up to steep for a month (correct?). Mixed up a tester of OSDIYS's Blue Note (10%) for kicks. ;)

My huge tobacco SFT mix session included:
    • 2.5% Flavourart Cuban Supreme
    • 2% Flavourart Glory
    • 6% Hangsen Desert Ship
    • 6% Hangsen Flue Cured
    • 3% Hangsen Red USA Mix
    • 6% Hangsen RY1
    • 3% Hangsen RY3
    • 2% Hangsen Tobacco
    • 3% Inawera AM4A
    • 3% Inawera Gold Ducat
    • 10% OSDIYS Tobacco Blend
    • 3% The Flavor Apprentice DK Tobacco

Used ELR for the SF ranges, so please let me know if I've overshot any. I believe most of these need at least 2-4 weeks to mature, so please let me know if there are particular ones that bloom sooner.

I'm pooped and still have a bunch of house stuff to finish... Hope you've all had a great weekend! :)

I'd do the HS at 5%. No idea on the rest.

As far as the FLV goes, I don't know which ones you bought, but I have used the recommendations from this site, on how much to use as a starting point. :|

Good Sunday afternoon everyone!! Absolutely beautiful fall like day in the Boston area today!

Never did get any mixing done this weekend. Yet anyways. I over did it with the rewicking and recoiling so many attys on Thursday and Friday. My thumb tendon is very sore and it difficult to get a grip of any kind to hold both the flavor concentrates/base mixes and mixing bottles.

I’m down to just drips in the bottom of my juice bottles- oh no!! The good news is that an order from Red Star Vapor included several 10mm trial juices. One is called Gluttony, Dairy Dude and the Nut Creamy or something like that. I wanted to try to “clone” that one it’s really good so I’m doing ok for the moment.

I’ve been using pre made coils and I’m really glad I bought a bunch when AVS and Lightning Vape Supply had sales going. I know how much everyone recommends the AVS pre made coils and wire but tbh I’m really enjoying and impressed with the LV coils.

I’m not sure why but the wire/coils are easier to work with if winds need to be added or undone. The wire isn’t as stiff if that makes sense. So if you haven’t tried the pre made coils from LV then I would check them out during the next sale they have. tbh I didn’t think to compare price but I THINK LVs were slightly less expensive than AVS but that’ll depend on type of coil etc...

So I’ve got my mixing list ready as soon as my thumb says -Go! I hope everyone’s getting all their mixing done and are coming up with some tasty autumnal recipes. I’m already planning on what I want to be vaping in October and November that will need some steeping. This is going into my 2nd year of DIY so I learned that I need to plan ahead a few months when mixing seasonal recipes.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hope that thumb heals soon so you can get back mixing:)

    Thanks KAS!

Long vids but could be useful. I'll have to watch them when I get some time. Started the American one. Thanks Letitia!
Nothing like your own taste buds to tell you how much you like a flavor. I look at reviews too but take them with a big grain of salt

Absolutely! But they are still useful. When someone says grassy or earthy in describing tobacco, I know what they mean.

Yes, so do I but there is always the chance you won't taste the grassy and earthy. It depends on how close your tastes run to the person doing the review.

Grassy earthy makes me high tail it out of there. It's a pretty reliable definition to seasoned tobacco vapers.

In that case, it is good for you to read all the reviews.
Yes, but your point is well taken about the grain of salt. If there are a dozen reviews and six of them say there are no grassy hints while one does then you sort of have to weigh it from there.
