Hope you are all well. I guess this is DIY related, so I've been busy researching and delving into PC building. It's kind of daunting, but I'm excited to build my awesome computer for relatively not a whole lot of money. It was a sticker shock for the wife, of course.. but there was no hesitation a few years back when she got her macbook pro, and my setup is more than half the price and blows her system out of the water.
And I'm staying in Michigan a little longer, we're gonna tough it out and fish December. It'll be worth the money, at least that's what I keep telling myself. We are getting a 4th guy to help us, which is huge.
Won't it be awful cold and windy?

I saw that after I was posted that.

I wonder if BCF will have a Black Friday sale. I noticed I’m getting low on a couple flavors for my menthol tobacco. If the have a sale I’m going to grab some big bottles.
    That's a good idea.

Are you building a gaming pc? Windows computers are generally half the price of anything Mac. My kids both have MacBooks and love them. I’m an old windows guy myself. We got our first one when windows 95 came out and my brother in law taught me some DOS stuff. I’m considering getting my wife a MacBook for Xmas. She loves the kids computers.

Oooh full of news. The Malaysian Guava sounds good to me, the rest, meh.

I will always keep a few one shots around for convenience and just in case. Plus, there are a few I really LOVED. I had superb luck with one shots my first order with Chef, the second not so much.

LOL, I will never forget "Rasberry Éclair" it was the kind of thing you would gift someone you hated.

    ETA: Walmart was fine.

My son built his first gaming computer when he was 11. He started selling off, on Craigslist, all the stuff he was done with (the drone, the go cart) and asking for bits as presents and etc. LOL he had SO much fun. The kid has an entrepreneurial spirit that's for sure. I had no idea cases had a window and would light up in neon so you could gloat over your parts, man. He sold it 3-4 years later for more than he paid to build it.

It'll be an all around windows PC as a workstation, for gaming, and movies/streaming. It's pretty much overkill for what I need at the moment, and it'll be in a small form factor. The case I chose is 10" W x 10" H x 12" L
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
MOBO: Asus Rog Strix b450-I it's a tiny mini ITX
    GPU: Radeon RX 580 8GB
16 GB of Memory and a m.2 SSD, this thing will be quite fast and very capable.

I've been windows and linux all the way, but am familiar with macs. With Apple I think you are generally buying a very high quality item, but way way overpriced. You really can't go wrong with Apple, it's just that you're gonna have to sell a kidney.

The One Shot is handy to have for emergency mixes. Quick and easy. I still have some but I’m kinda on the fence on buying more. All I need to do is keep up with my mixing and I’ll have no problem. Would also help to make bigger mixes of it.

Heck, just mix up your own one shots :)

Hec, my Vic 20 still chugs along ;)

Intel camp, though, since Dos 5, followed by Win 3.1. Skipped the earlier versions, and a few intervening since. Complete sometime dabbler in linux, get around Android fine :) And have both kidneys :)

Figure out a commercial one shot you like, clone it :)
There's only one and that's Chef's, Rhubarb Custard. I think I actually like my version better so I should just stick to it.

I would not set foot outdoors in that mess.

That picture is terrifying. It looks like they are standing on the MOON. Cute but still.... Everything about it is scary except the kids. If it were a video I would expect the Loch Ness Monster to come drag them AWAY!!

Guess it's been too long since a real snow. Got a few drizzly snows in Sierra Vista last winter. OMG I cannot BELIEVE I have been doing this for THIS long.

    Oy.

I've used Intel time out of mind, but AMD was competitively priced for the value, so I went for it.

We're about to get dumped on with snow next week with 4 inches one day, 3 the next, 3 or 4 after that.. lol. Plenty of snowman and snow fort making material. 80 degree sunny weather on the beach sure sounds nice right about now, but potential lots of money is better

I'm doing an A-B between Chocolate Chunks (WF) and Double Chocolate Clear (TFA). They are very similar. Both are "tweeners" (not, milk chocolate, not dark chocolate...something between). The differences I detect is Chocolate Chunks is ever so slightly stronger. Chocolate Chunks also leaves an ever so slight grassy aftertaste that is not present in DCC. But even with these differences, the two are very close.
I tend to stick with the 'old' flavors I started with years ago. Glad that TFA double chocolate clear is working for you, many like it. I wish that it worked for me, only thing it worked with ime is creme de menthe and peppermint. I think chocolate may be a flavor like coffee for me, some are better than others, but none seem to get it just right. I've been told that adding a smidge of vanilla flavoring rounds out the chocolate, maybe try that?

I was thinking a bit of cream but vanilla might work.

Sometimes you gotta suck it up and push through the discomfort, and pain, to achieve your goals. I know you know this, you're a fisherman. Get some, but be careful bud.
