I'm starting to wonder about my NR order. I ordered last Thursday, and it hasn't shipped yet. How normal is that for NR?
For what it's worth; I ordered Tues. night (3rd), and it is just due for delivery today (though FedEx tracking is still only showing no farther than salt Lake).

I can think of a couple of different things (or a combination of them) that might cause delay:
-- Facility is simply overwhelmed with sale orders (as others have already mentioned). In NR's Shipping FAQs, they state:
"2. When will my order ship?

Orders are processed on a first come, first serve basis. No matter which option you choose, we will package and ship your order within 2-3 business days or sooner. For Holidays and sales, please allow for longer processing times."

-- They may have run out of one or more of the items you ordered. Most retailers use a computerized inventory system these days, but they are still not foolproof. Damage, loss, and theft, can still make "available on-hands" incorrect.

If that is the the case, NR may be waiting for their own replenishment order to arrive, so they can ship your order complete. Split shipments are costly to a vendor, and most try to avoid them as much as possible.

If you still don't see any change in status, in another couple of days, I would send them a polite e-mail asking if there are any problems.

For your sake, I hope it works itself out quickly; I know how frustrating waiting can be.:)

I hadn't seen that. I know it might take a little longer because of the sale. I just didn't realize that even normally it wouldn't have shipped until by today. So everything's pretty much on schedule for them, I guess.

I just got the smoked plum and don't use brie ot graham Fran. The combo just sounded tasty in my head and is in your wheelhouse flavor wise.
Be more in my wheelhouse when I know what the Smoked Plum tastes like...LOL:)

    3% Smoked Plum
    1% Graham
    0% Brie

No, I don't know. I've never had Graham. I've heard of people having cheddar with apples but never brie with plums.
Maybe .75 Brie. How sweet is the Smoked Plum?

These will hold some of the chubby bottles.....

    https://www.amazon.com/Kissbuty-Uni...or+48+Bottles+Adjustable+Dividers+Space+Saver

Altho there are different chubby's I just got some from real flavors when they had that sale for flavor drops........lets see if there web site has the dimensions of them. I will go look.
eta also the 30ml chubbies from nic river will fit also.

Real Flavors only sells flavors, no bottles anywhere on their site. And NR only has the really tall, skinny bottles for sale, not the same as they send their purilum flavors in.
I've got a couple of the larger bottles of the Purilum flavors on the way (apparently, Sweet tobacco is a must! LOL), so I'll measure the tallest bottle that I have, after I receive all of my orders, and see which case fits them. Thanks!

The 30ml bottles fit in the acrylic nail polish racks.
Yeah, regular ones (that I see used for e-liquid) just about fit, but those chubbies with the tall caps don't, sadly.

Only problem with the chubby's is that vendors are starting to use them and all they are all different sizes. The NR ones are a couple of mm taller than the ones for the flavor drops from RF.

The 1 ounce purilum bottle I got when I ordered flavors this last time just are a perfect fit for the case I linked above.

The ones that I'm talking about are the OSDIYS' one-shot blends in the 30ml chubbies (received those last week, too tall). With the recent sale, I grabbed a few of the well-loved ones (i.e., I kept seeing Lucky Shot being praised quite a bit) to get my DIY feet wet. Figured it's best that I get comfortable handling nic, pg, & vg, before I start mixing up actual recipes.

Dang it! 55 year old men aren't supposed to blush!!:-x:blush:

I'm 54, yet made a man my age blush... Yay, I still got it! :w00t:

Thank you Debbie, you make me feel all warm and fuzzy. I do try to write, so that the novice DIYer, or someone jumping into the middle of a thread, can have a reasonable chance of understanding. That you find them useful, as you travel along your own DIY journey, affirms my intentions. Thank you for taking the time to say so.

    HEY! NObody likes and over-achiever!!
You're making the rest of us look bad!!!

    :D

Nope, just learning from others' experience, is all. ;) I can't possibly set aside a whole mixing station for myself (no room in my house), so my supplies have to be portable. My retail liquids are in shoe boxes and I can't see the labels, so I knew that wasn't going to work at all for flavors.

That's why I've been doing so much research first, so I don't make the same mistakes (or as many) as those before me... Did I mention, I'm also a lazy vaper? I have tanks that need washing out, new wicks, and probably new coils at this point... Yet, I haven't touched them (some in months). Vaping is not a hobby for me; it is just to keep me from smoking, so I always look for the easy way out.

I'm not a sweet taster, plus I'm as much VG as possible.
I just tried (and spilled) my old 2% taster and I don't get sweet from it.
But I used to put 6 spoons of sugar in my coffee.

I'm going to mix another Strawberry Rhubarb Cheesecake and put it away. Fellow on Reddit steeped his Italian cream for 9 weeks:shock:
Yep, 2 week minimum for tasting 4-8 weeks are ideal. It's the same with anything cream cheesy like LA or RF. I had a tester for my FW cheesecake that was amazing after about 3 months. That is why I want to get into big batch mixing for base flavors.

    A kindred spirit!

I used to be like that. But, the amount of sweet I can stand has been getting to be less and less. Maybe it's old age. I don't know.

Something like age. I can stand it, but since I get regular blood tests I see what my glucose levels are. I'm amazed they haven't ever suggested diabetes or avoiding it yet. It was cutting my coffee sugar that helped get the numbers down.

I can't comment on FLAVORING but I've had warmed brie (maybe smoked) with a kind of plum compote (can also do with Fig) and it's DELICIOUS. You put it on bread.

I did used to live in France and IDK if the flavorings would live up to that but I would probably eat a good brie with almost anything (honey is good too, but not for sweet avoiders, etc.)

Hard to say with your taste buds Fran.

That Smoked Plum is pretty strong (I find). Start with 1% to test it out. I think I'd be hard pressed to use it higher than 1% as a top note.

    Somewhere between here and there
I’m getting closer on a cranberry mix that I like.

    10% Tfa cranberry
    1% inw cactus
    4% Fuji
    2% em

This batch is a lot closer but got a bit too sweet. Next time I’m going to cut the em down to 1%. I’m also thinking of adding 1% of lemon. I don’t have the fe lemon but if I like it with lemon then I’ll order some.
