You can use that extra shelf space for more flavors!! If you do end up getting around to it, I recommend ripping them at the highest possible quality/slowest speed. You can always compress files/downgrade.. but not really vice-versa. Now to digitize our LP collection.. that's a different animal, but can and has been done.

I did my LP's and tapes a few years ago. Took months. Just cleaning the LP's was a pain. Do a few at a time then put them up to air dry. I grabbed some software to clean up the scratches and crackles, that was labor intensive as well, some LP's took hours of work to get a good balance between keeping the sound quality and getting rid of noise. A lot of the older LP's didn't have enough gap between tracks for the software to recognise so it came out as one track per side. I put everything on CD. Since then I put quite a lot back onto the computer in compressed format, and onto some portable devices for vehicles. Found out the naming system I used for tracks confused the pods so they would only play the first track on each album, so I had to go back and rename every file which took weeks more work. I use compressed mostly now, it's too much bother a lot of the time to load up CD's in the player to get the good sound on my ancient but classy stereo.

Couldn't bring myself to get rid of the LPs and tapes. They will likely sit in the attic until I croak, and then go in the dumpster.

Sounds like way too much work, I think your description of your task is leading me towards another route that @Zazie suggested.

    Somewhere between here and there
9.99 a month for premium. But the free version is pretty great too.

I'm not sure if she gets a student deal or what but my youngest has it and it's 4.99 a month.

I like YouTube music the husband has the premium, I don't. I keep thinking he should upgrade to a family plan, I think you can do that.

OMG my husband has been awesome since my meltdown. He has contacted several realtors and is also making everything move FASTER. He also got the truck for 2 extra days (for free) not quite sure how that happened other than they are like, "We have 300 trucks just sitting around here.

@Sugar_and_Spice thank you for that info. I passed it on to the husband. I sincerely hope he doesn't try to go faster than about 50 but I am also pretty sure that he will go faster than that. Fortunately (once sober) he's an insanely competent driver. We shall see.

I think we are doing fine actually it's only Monday, the Mexican folks came and took stuff and WOW I am sort of having this, uh, reevaluation of my hotness I MEAN there were a billion things in there dude, and the husband said "He headed for it like a LASER." He appeared entirely amused by the whole thing (the husband.) There was a TON of stuff in that room that was cooler than that photo if you ask me.

I am less amused, and ALSO the husband sold it to him for a DOLLAR. I feel, as AN OBJECTIFIED YOGA VISION that God only knows will happen to it? I AM WORTH AT LEAST TEN. I mean, I was a blonde then so hold up! TWENTY FIVE!

Maybe he was a yoga enthusiast. My uh, form was fantastic I will say.

Thank god that pic is gone. OMG.

I been avoiding it. I have to cook more pasta the magical food that fuels my husband like you would not believe.

FIRST, I will be cleaning the refrigerator. I feel that requires music. AT the very least.

I adore my husband sometimes. He was all "Mein Furher (he was the Furher, believe you me)" about the spices and which ones needed to STAY out and which could be more permanently stored.

I SHOWED him the bins. I LABELLLED the bins. He totally wrapped the ones I NEED in the small container which was labeled, I believe, ":Spices we will need easy access to." and like, he TOOK them and WRAPPED them INTESNIVELY with one of those giant tubs of like saran wrap which are extremely useful for packing EXCEPT when you need access to it.

He says *I* do not listen. Okay.

Later OMG THIS IS GONNA SUCK. I remember A FEW MONTHS ago going, "I should clean that fridge, it's been a long time but I was sick and I was like, "F it I am gonna wait until it's time to leave."

It's pretty old. NOW SEE I am back to the self cleaning fridge. No, I'm not I STILL would prefer teleportation..

I hope it like, comes apart. I forget.

Boy this really is the "random" thread... just wanted to say we took the cat (at least 17 years old) and had her "put down" It wasn't easy (and we are old school with a huge back yard... so put her her to rest in a nice spot under a pine tree) We all cried but it was nice (if that makes sense) Not going to tell the grandchildren where (I asked mom if I should put a cross or "gravestone" and she said it would confuse the little kids... I agreed) No more suffering (she was basically "out of it anyway"... even the vet knew there was no hope) No need to respond (I know you all are very caring and supportive but we a fine with it... even talked about the good times, ect)

I really need to take my mind off things and think about new recipe ideas... anyone done licorice with tobacco (or even spices) just need a distraction because now things have shifted to other topics (my dad and sister that passed away... it was supposed to be about the cat)

Chai tea is always fun. If you have spices you can do it with regular tea?

OMG I think I might have almost been sold into white slavery! I marched out there and I was like, "What did the guy say exactly about the photo?" he was like, "Something about my wife....?"

I was like, "UNGH you are HOPELESS You know that? What if the guy was like, "Dude your wife gonna be MY WIFE? HUH?" He was like, "No I think he wanted the picture frame." I was like, "Whelp, I see your story is changing so that's cool. It's a good thing I woke UP RIGHT then and wandered out totally disheveled and like, without teeth. Which at the time was SUPER fun by the way but now I am GRATEFUL because he's like, "Oh that has to be their kid."

LOL. I told him "God saved me from white slavery" and demanded to know where the gun was. You know, it's like NOT THAT easy to get sold into white slavery but it's not IMPOSSIBLE either. So, I wanted to know where the guns and bullets were just in case. He told me, but only under pain of "What if they figured it out and I actually AM scheduled to be abducted into white slavery?" I mean, the one dude is our neighbor but the one dude was Mexico ALL the way.

I think I'm safe though, but I now ALSO think I need to look at ALL the pictures my husband wants to you know, just shove in piles of trash more CAREFULLY.

I had to take a break form cleaning the refrigerator. I am almost done but my ARM hurts and EVERYTHING hurts and it sucks. I am doing yoga come what may but your stupid RIGHT shoulder hurting when you clean it's not cool and it's a PITA. I can't even tens it.. I will before yoga.

We are getting close but I hate everything. Brief break. I need diet pepsi and I need NIC.

I have sympathy. I have never hurt my shoulder before, but I'm not a fan of it at ALL.

Cleaning left handed entirely is just hard, cleaning correctly HURTS. In a sec here I am going to get up, put my BRAND NEW tens pads all over my shoulder and start in on the spaghetti which like the husband bought 3 pounds of meat or so it looks like so I guess he will be eating that until we leave.

Ooh. There we go. Time to cook (and snus.)

I have GOT to get this over with so I can get on with relaxing exercise, instead of awful exercise.

You know we MOVED to Douglas with MOVERS it was the freaking BEST but we could afford it THEN.

I hope like, we can find a rental before a storage unit, 2 more days with the truck it's possible.

ALSO, like, every time I move I am older. It hurts more. I wish I lived in the Victorian age sometimes where all I had to lift was my pinky finger and my teacup. Nah. There was too much other crap.

I wish I had a teleporter. I would withhold it until they agreed to change "BLM" To "Black Lives Always Mattered Knock it OFF." Only that is not how the government works they would take it from me, and teleport me into the vacuum of space.

Beats white slavery, but not by much.

    Off to COOK! LOL.

I did chai tea... liked it at first but quickly burned out on it (I really did like it but it was so hard to get that flavor out of my coils after trying it) I was thinking more of a spice to try with my tobacco.
