Ok, so if all nicotine smells, how can you tell if nicotine smells bad? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question.
No, its a good question. I did get a bad batch of nicotine a few times. The vendor is no longer but it was super strong the minute you opened it and the fumes were breath taking. This was when they had vendors re bottling out of their garages/bathtubs back in the early days of vaping. I never had a problem with larger nic vendors.

Cellucotton is the one everyone was using and recommending a few years back. What is the other one?

They make two versions, sadly with the same name. One is 100% rayon, the other isn't, iirc it's just cotton, but may be a blend of cotton and rayon. %100 rayon is what's desired.

My gd is taking me food shopping tomorrow. If that doesn’t take too long I might mix some more nic mix. My 4 smaller 120ml bottles are empty.

And here I thought all 120 ml bottles were 120 mls.... ;)

Ok thanks for explaining. So it should smell a bit, but not in an overwhelming way.

I just acquired a large(ish) supply of Tidi medical grade rayon balls. Is that what you had in mind? But I have very little experience with rayon. Tried Sally's and didn't care for it.

In my experience it gets a very slight fishy tinge to it, I don't think it's the nic but the VG or PG.

I like tidi but my favorite by far is delasco, I wish I had some more of them. JeremyR sent them to me years ago, along with a bunch of different kinds of rayon.

You ever seen tencel, it looks like hair.

    Somewhere between here and there
Kinda disapointed in my River supply nic. I had it in a cool dry basement. Just decanted it and its brown. I never had dark nic before. LOL I should have decanted it sooner. Oh, well it will be used in the garden over the years. Who knows it was warm when they shipped and could be just plain old oxidation. It did smell like all the other nic I purchased.

You should contact them. Others have had issues with their nic and got it replaced. That’s why I won’t order nic from them. My liter from heartland was crystal clear as has been the case with every order from them. My guess is that they sent you old nic. I don’t think it would turn much just in shipping.

I had issues with my brown nic from them. I bought a liter and it was dark too and had an overwhelmingly strong smell. Beyond a normal tobacco smell...a different smell. They replaced it and the second liter was better without a bad smell but it still had a tinge of color to it. The bad one looked clear in small amounts like in a clear OJ glass...but brown in the bottle. I would open it up and take a look @Redbird11 . Many many people had issues with this nic back when I did.

I would open it up, but I am hesitant. I was under the impression that you aren't supposed of open up the sealed nic until you are ready to pour it into bottles and put it in the freezer. Since I don't have my bottles or freezer quite yet, I was just storing it in the back of a dark closet.

Hopefully my Heartland order will ship today. Tomorrow will be 1 week since I placed the order.

It looks like the batch was dated 7-16-20. I admit that I am far from an expert when it comes to these matters, but I don't see how age can be a factor in this case.

I know wizard labs is not the most popular nic vendor due to their high price, but to me they have some of the cleanest nic with no odor and crystal clear. All of my old stash is from WL. It stayed for over a year in my basement in 2014 before I froze it and it was perfect. But I have new WL (clear), NN (clear), Heartland (haven’t looked yet but it’s in the freezer in original packaging waiting on me to bottle it up), and River. I am going with Heartland or WL for my final purchase, depending on the best sale. Probably Heartland due to price.

I emailed them yesterday morning, no response. I am going to call them later when they open. My last order was a long wait too, I think I placed that one on 8/15.
You might want to email them again. I emailed them yesterday morning to ask a question, and they got right back to me.

It's kind of hard to tell from that image. It does look a bit dark, but the lighting is also a bit dim.
It is not supposed to look brown like that. And the smell was overwhelming. I sent them the pic and they agreed.
