That's a good layout. Mine is similar but different heights, more headroom in the bottom section but less in the top section. I can put 1/2L bottles in the bottom part, but on the top 1/4L bottles almost touch the top of the freezer. Just 1/4" of ice on the ceiling and the bottles would be frozen in place which would mean defrosting would take a lot longer and probably warm up the nic.

I found a plastic tub which exactly fitted across the back of the top section. I filled that with 120ml bottles. Makes it easier to get them in and out. I could get more nic in there if I filled the tub with 1/4L bottles laid on their side but I have enough. The front part of the top where the removable shelf is I use for bottles of base.

Yup, overdue for defrosting.

Nice. I really like your idea of using a bin. I might look into that myself.

I had one just like that (plastic shoe box) that only held a few bottles, then realized it took up more room then needed - I could actually fit more 8oz bottles on that shelf without the bin . . . Just Sayin' . . .

An odd request from the peanut gallery here, but I can only vape VG due to PG headaches. That being the case, Thanksgiving and cooler weather are around the corner - are there any natural “pumpkin and spice” flavors that aren’t too sappy sweet? Festive, happy and mild...

As a beginner, I’m overwhelmed with finding safe ingredients that can be inhaled, yet taste/smell good... it’s a science and an art. Much respect.

Along with @Skeebo 's suggestion, you might take a look at Flavorah Pumpkin Spice, available from Bull City Flavors and multiple other sites. A quick look at the MSDS sheet indicates it has ethyl alcohol, so perhaps they use that as the carrier instead of PG..

It's not something you would vape as a single flavor, rather it's typically mixed with a baking/pastry flavor, some vanillas, etc. The e liquid recipes (ELR) site has multiple recipes where it is used.

(I'm a huge fan of natures flavors, buy their diacetyl free vanilla a quart at a time [emoji3] That said, I haven't tried their pumpkin. For NF, the right family of flavorings to use for vaping is their "coffee and tea" flavorings, this area: Flavoring for Coffee and Tea | All Natural and Organic - Natures Flavors. I'll also always check here first: Flavor Without Diacetyl - Natures Flavors , to see if there's a coffee and tea flavor without diacetyl, though this only apples to things with "buttery" notes.)

@Skeebo and @markfs, thank you for the time and great info. The Bull City seems like a good lead, I’ll try a small bottle. Could help but jump on the vanilla since that’s a base for a lot of flavors.

10% PG is ok, but it adds up over time and I end up in the same boat: with a headache.

Hmm peanut flavor could be good... peanut butter! Aaaand now I’m late night hungry...:w00t:

Maybe take a look at Medicine Flower flavors. They are expensive but super concentrated and only take a couple drops to add flavor which would keep your pg level a lot lower. I don’t know if they still are but I think river supply had some on sale.

The Sceptre has two new and quite nice colors for all you collectors out there.

My first coil is still going strong, I think it is over 2 weeks now and with daily use. Surprise but they last just like the Z coils.

I know it has been two days but thank you for the birthday wishes. The hurricane was much worse than we thought and I still have no power, there is a tree on my house and the data on my phone is super sketchy which is why I didn't thank you sooner.

I will be back eventually :)

I'm sorry you're having to deal with that. I hope everyone is safe there.

It looks to me like you're trying to grow your own frost giant there. It's odd how the frost built up in a line like that instead of just a layer across the top.

I thought it was odd too.

Speaking of frost, does anyone know how often one needs to defrost these little freezers? Having never owned a manual defrost freezer before, I am not sure what to expect.

I’ve never had one either. I would think it would be a good idea to check it every once in awhile.

Good morning in here! I have a upright big freezer in the basement. We usually defrost yearly. The key for us is to keep it packed with food. We use a hair dryer (of course be careful) to defrost the coils. The freezer is from 93 and works perfectly (so far).

Yeah. Haven't noticed it doing that before. Maybe there's a kink in the door insulator and air is leaking in at that place. I took a quick look and couldn't see anything odd.

Think I defrost every 3 months or so. Normally that means 1/4 to 1/2" on the ceiling with a touch on the sides. Mine came with a plastic scraper. I leave it turned off with the door open for 20 minutes and it will pop off easy with the scraper.
