Alexa is playing me some Conway Twitty. Working on a recipe I think I’ll name Honey Graham Cereal.

Every time I hear Conway Twitty, I think of the Family Guy show since they sometimes use cut scenes of him performing.

All my family are from the foothills of the Smokey Mountains... we had a term for Conway that I won't use here.

Let's just say he was a very smooth song writer.

I had my eye procedure yesterday. It went well, but all was done under local eye drops. No good stuff. I got a script for tramadol for pain, which only kinda helps. Same as my leftover Norco from the wisdom tooth extraction. It kinda helps. The eye feels irritated and watery like a bad contact attack. I also got two prescriptions for eyedrops, one antibiotic and one steroid. I have a bandage contact in, which means I can't wear my regular contact for two weeks. I go for follow up in two weeks.
Too bad you didn't get a prescription for Torodol eye drops as well. I was prescribed them in addition to an antibiotic and a steroid after cataract surgery, and they did a good job tamping down the soreness.

    fishes today?
Just a paltry 11k  Going back out tomorrow to "sea dog" it, and shut down a few of our deep nets. It might be wild, but we don't care if we mess the nets up since we're tying them shut. I'm hoping for about 15k+ the next 2 days.
I might be the youngest one in this thread, but I was just joshin around. Age is just a number they say. My wife is a "tad" bit older than I am.

    Dang whipper snappers.... ;)

Then again, if I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself!

I don't hate U2 for any particular reason. I just have never liked their music. I grew up on hard rock with a much older brother. However, I like blues, rock, hard rock, some heavy metal, the occasional pop song will catch my attention, and can even stand some country music. One of my favorite shows I went to was Susan Tedeschi opening for Buddy Guy and BB King.
I do not know what year you grew up. The 70's in So Cal was me. MY brother was Rick Haack, the OG drummer for the band Quiet Riot, before they became famous. Randy Rhoads (later joined Ozzie) grew up nearby and was in my living room daily as they jammed. I also saw a lot of bands, Van Halen, Guns and Roses at various Hollywood clubs. MY brother on the ladder. Randy Rhoads in the middle

    Hello ya old fogies ;)
Just kidding, hope you all are well today.
Old fogies? :) I'm not old till I'm old-old. I had a convo with my bro about this months ago. When we were growing up-older people acted old. However, we are in that age group now me 57 and he is 61. We don't even consider ourselves old. He still listens to "punk" music and we both are pretty progressive in thoughts. We were discussing the demographics of future nursing homes and they better have activities centered around folks like us. Not Lawrence Welk episodes. :)

Climbing on top up a log pile to scale logs hung in front of my face by a cherry picker was not the way to a long life but I guess I got lucky.
