I keep going back and forth whether to sign up for Amazon prime. I just haven’t been able to decide. We did upgrade our sams club membership so we get free shipping now and a few other perks.
I'm fairly certain they have a free trial, something like 30 days. Even if they don't, you can opt for a monthly plan for $12.99. If you like it, you have the option to change over to the yearly plan at any time. It does save you some money that way.

I had Prime for years, then dropped it for a few years. Have recently opted for the monthly plan because they have a few things I wanted to watch on Prime Video and also needed to buy a few items with free shipping.

I do think the free-shipping angle is a bit overrated for me. Even without Prime, you can get free shipping on orders more than $25. That's pretty easy to do.

When I first got Amazon Prime years ago it was for the free shipping. Now it isn't for that so much as the prime movies I like. Amazon also had an offer for 2 months of Starz or Showtime at 99 cents a month. I got the Starz. I'm hoping they will have a similar deal for Christmas.

They've stepped up their movie-tv show content in recent years. They also have lots of sub channels you can order as a member of Amazon Prime, things like the Cohen Movie Channel, which has lots of foreign movies. I like those, but I don't want to spend the money. There are probably about 20 of those type of channels along with Starz-Showtime etc.

    Somewhere between here and there
The problem with me is I don't understand all these things...and I don't have the patience or time to learn (right now). My son's gaming lags using U-Verse and I hear about it all the time. A Charter Spectrum guy came by a few weeks ago and it piqued my interest. But he was annoying and kept coming by until I finally told him to leave me alone...I'll call you and you don't have to call me. My Mom's Spectrum is still expensive (unlike what he told me) and hers goes out constantly. They would also have to dig up my yard. I don't like change. It's all so confusing. So I sit here and pay out the nose for U-Verse and I've learned to close my ears when son starts up. I'm happy. He can get whatever he wants when he moves out and pays for it. :sneaky: There is more to life than gaming...:vapor:

I had a horrible experience with Spectrum after they bought Time Warner who I was with for 20 years. I finally quit them when our WiFi was horrible and they tried raising my bill again and would not negotiate. Google fiber has been great and even with a price increase last year I’m paying $25 less a month than with spectrum.

Wow, so shipping for a bottle of VG at Heartland would cost 10 bucks.
Get three gallons and shipping is free. Or buy four and get them for $13.99 each and free shipping. That's what I did last time I ordered from there. But I use a lot of VG since I vape a lot and I'm max VG.

I watch "free" movies from application on Android called popcorn time that works great or I use Kodi but needs lots of updating to make it work always without problems

I had Netflix but we don't have all the content available to my country and that's not fair and makes me mad and I won't do Netflix again...

I want to go to cinema dammit covid

Have you tried any of the channels? Just wondering which I’d like best. I’m going to hold off a bit to see if they come up with any Christmas deals.

Nah, I want to give her a bit of a holiday break. I won't bug her until after the New Year.
