    Somewhere between here and there
Good evening. We had a bit of an intervention with my daughter about the class she got the C- in and made her email the teacher which turned out to be a grad student and not a professor. We had her be courteous but ask for explanation as to why she was taken down to that grade when he never even gave her a score in her final yet. I don’t know that it will do any good but we may ask to speak with the professor or whoever is supervising this grad student.

I watched the Magnificent Seven a little while ago. It was the newer remake
I like both the remake and the original.. but the original original is the Seven Samurai. Definitely worth a watch. Considered by many one of the greatest films ever made.

They claim as the neurotoxins really kick in the consumer goes through an intense feeling of euphoria right before a painful, grueling death. I'll stick to the tuna Sashimi.
Nah. Keep to the ripe flesh and you'll be fine. People have been eating pawpaws for centuries. I haven't read a ton, but it seems like you'd have to do some serious overconsuming to run into problems.

They sound lovely, that familiar tropical fruit blend of banana, mango, pineapple, and berries. The ripe flesh has the texture of pudding.

I was referring to the Pufferfish (in the pic)..:)

I am curious about the pawpaw though. Being that I live in the town that Walmart built I have a feeling they won't be in the fruit section. I may have to wait and search the farmer's market after Winter is over.

My son and his classmates were constantly having to email the teacher for all kinds of stuff. A couple of his teachers just seem like they are not into it. One teacher didn’t turn in grades in time and everybody got incompletes until they all started emailing him. And some professors were awesome. Your daughter did the right thing.

We went to Walmart and the grocery store today. Dad needed a new computer mouse. It seems that’s all we did. Just wears me out so I came home and took a small nap. I did buy a Christmas Cookie candle. It was $16.88 for a large one. I won’t be buying those very often and I’m hoping I can make this one last. They also had 75% off Christmas clearance on the things Mom and I needed for next year so we spent a whopping $1.50 for several things.

One more vacation day left. I really don’t want to work next week. Spoiled!

Sorry if I'm off topic: Forgive me for posting this out of topic: This song sings from my heart,

Not sure if this is accurate... doesn't matter... "If me and you crumble to the sea, there would still be you and me..."
EDIT: Geeze I must have been drunk... anyway, here's the correct lyrics.
"If the sun refused to shine
I would still be loving you.
When mountains crumble to the sea
There will still be you and me."

From what my daughter told me, the grad student that was teaching the class sounded like he was on a power trip. He sent an email out to the entire class saying basically that they got what they got and not to ask him for help. I guess he was not good to deal with at all and didn’t do a very good job teaching them much of anything. We have a friend that is a professor at a different college and she said she always sends out an email a couple weeks before grades are due telling the students to contact her with any issues. Too bad she wasn’t teaching my daughters class. Not to mention, a lot of students are struggling with this online only college and you’d think the teachers would be a tiny bit more lenient given the current situation. Anyway, the email is sent so we’ll see if she gets a response from him.
