I remember the Pact Act quite well. You’re in pretty good shape with all the stuff you have. I don’t need a ton of stuff to feel safe.

I no doubt have enough stuff to last but the real question is was I smart enough to get the right stuff that I like to use? I sure hope so. If I run low on a certain drop in coil then I won't cry too much if I have to pay the high shipping to get 10-20 boxes at a time. The real problem with this is that most likely a lot of vapers don't have the funds to buy that much at once. It's really going to hurt the less fortunate ones. We may have to privately do group buys with folks you can trust. I wonder if the classified section will close down?

It's just going to cost probably $15-20 for shipping depending on weight through UPS or DHL with adult signature. That's another pain. Now you're going to have to make sure someone is there to sign for your stuff.

I haven't doublechecked anywhere yet, to see if what Mister e-liquid owner said in his email is documented elsewhere, too. But, about the Adult Signature Required upon Delivery...he said the only person who could sign for the package in the future...MUST be the person whose name is on the order and the package. No one else can do it. That was another reason he gave for not shipping to customers after March 28th, except vape shops who buy his Eliquids.

@puffon - I can't watch the video on my internet, especially now...when the closest tower to me is down for repairs. Does he mention what I posted, in the video? I still have his email, but haven't looked elsewhere yet for confirmation of the specific changes he wrote about.

    Yes, It's mentioned.
I have read (not sure where) of the same requirements.
Also vendors will be required to submit customer info., name, address, what was bought. (tax purposes?)
Hope you get your internet up soon...:thumb:

I watch news in a very constricted way which helps me tremendously. It's all doom and gloom in the news, and I always feel manipulated by them. So I pick and choose what I read on the internet only (no TV news). I quit watching news stations in 2008. The only thing I'm worried about is my parents getting covid, and how my son's and my future grandchildren's future will look like with trillions of dollars of debt that the current events are causing. Money is not free, and someone will pay, probably many generations to come. And probably the middle class.

I've stocked for life. But I've only tried or used probably 1% of my stash with 99% still not opened. I have no idea. Just no time and really no motivation. I'm a very lazy and uninterested vaper...just want to spend minimal time on it so I can just vape while I'm doing other things I'd rather spend my time on. Luckily, I only have a handful of things I know I will probably never use that I bought in the beginning of my stocking. And luckily I did not spend a lot of money on it (which was the point). Like mechs which require a high ohm topper. Other older technology. I'm glad I finally woke up early and started spending a little more money for better stuff. I am still using my one mod daily (solo with zeus x mesh tank). I will keep everything just in case though so I have no desire to sell at the moment. I like my stash.

Very interesting point @hittman brought up. All these vendors spent all that money on PMTA's and now the shipping ban will hurt them. I'd be ......!

Well, I don't have a ton of spending money but I do have some every month. Being 73 I don't feel that I need a ton of stuff. Another reason is that I hardly ever have a pv die. Do I have some mods I hope I don't have to ever use?, yes I do but it's not in the majority. I'm actually as sure as I can be that I have enough Z coils.

I don't know that is true about the "only person" allowed to sign for a package. Unless they added something different with this new bill. Under the PACT act which snus has been for years and now vaping stuff is, I have placed many orders for snus tobacco over the last several years and every time either my wife or someone at my work has been able to sign for it. I used to have my snus shipped to work when I had a good friend that did the shipping and receiving. When he got a new job, I started having it shipped to my home where my wife signed for it. As a matter of fact, I have never signed for it that I can remember. Not once has UPS asked for any kind of ID.

Don't worry Fran. If you run low or need a mod or something then I'll send it to you.

I really think I have plenty. Still, knowing that you would do that makes me feel so much safer.

If anyone is leery about ordering from Chinese vendors now, because of the shipping time, you might want to consider Health Cabin.

I placed 2 orders with them in December. Both were actually shipped the next day (not just the label created). Each one made it to US Customs at O'Hare airport in only 2 days. The only thing that slowed them down at all was sitting in Customs for a few days and then the final leg of delivery by the USPS. But both arrived faster than any FT orders I've placed in the last 5 years.

    Good morning D-I-Y'ers.

No plans, until I have one, maybe later.

I would help ya out too.

Shipping via USPS, I will do whatever I need to do. They don't need to know what they don't need to know. Simple. Easy.

I've had at least 12 vape packages from Europe over the last 6 months that were "supposed" to be signature required via UPS, FedEx and DHL. I didn't need to sign for a single one of them.

Since about a week before the election I made myself a rule, if I watch MSNBC I watch an equivalent amount of Fox. I read that suggestion somewhere and it seemed like a good move, it helps you avoid getting trapped in an information bubble. Actually Fox is pretty good during the day. I even take a quick look at both of them in the evening sometimes just so I know what's going on in the heads of crazy people. Tucker and Joy and Laura and Rachel are more like showcases of insanity than news. I did like Chris M before he bailed out, he used to bash both sides. I feel like I do need to watch TV news right now, understanding what's happening is important and understanding the thought processes of bubble dwelling fanatics is part of that.

I felt OK with my stash for a long time. A bit nervous now though. A few weeks back two of my Provaris died on the same day. I'm waiting on a replacement button for one of them. The other is toast.

Yesterday was another bad day on the hardware front. One of my wife's setups is a STM on a Pico. I filled the tank and it stopped working. No atomiser. Replaced the coil and still no luck. Put the tank on the Aegis Mini I use for dry burning and that was fine so it looked like the problem was the Pico. But then a KFL worked fine on the Pico. It took me a while to realise that the Mini was the only mod the STM worked on. Eventually dug out a new STM and saw the positive pin on the old STM had got pushed in too far and wasn't making contact. They are quite easy to pull out though.

Along the way I grabbed several other mods from the stash to experiment with. One Pico was completely dead. I read a comment here a while back about fixing a different dead mod by plugging it into the computer so I tried that. The computer read it and the mod came back to life. Don't understand how that works. But the screen was so dim I didn't realise at first that it was even on. I downloaded the manual to see if there was a dim setting but apparently not. I have a couple of other Picos where parts of the screen are going dim.

I have tubs full of mods so I'm not too worried. Spooky though, this stuff happening right before the mailing ban.

I have a Pico or two. I guess I should see if they still work.
