Hey guys, quick question regarding the Aegis Solo @hittman
In the last few days, my rocker button has been out of control. I up the watts, it goes down or ramps up to 100 without touching it, locks arbitrarily, general nonsense.
As an aside, I can see the paint is wearing at the edges of both buttons.
I bought this about 5 months ago, but can't remember where.
Any advice besides getting another one?

I have 3 of them. I tried one for a couple weeks and liked it but wanted to wear out the mini first.Yeah. I bought this thing because of all the rave reviews. Now I'm using my beat-to-crap Pico I've had for over 3 years.
Here's what I'd do. I'd take a plastic tool or something and pry up the screen. It's just a plastic cover. Once you do that, remove the buttons and see if it is dirty underneath or see if you can operate the mod without the buttons. If not then I'd email Geekvape support and ask for a replacement. I've had a solo in rotation for a long time since I did a review on them and haven't had any issues. I also bought 6 or seven for back ups just in case. I did replace buttons and skeletons on both my minis just because I wanted different colors.

I’m gonna use my Aegis mini til it dies before I get a Solo out to use. So far it shows no signs of dying.
Yeah. Mine, too. Never really paid mind to that, happens occasionally with other mods. But, this monkey business with the control switch...

When I was a corporate trainer there was a cricket in the classroom. One of the students had a fear of crickets and she wanted me to get rid of it. I don't like killing crickets so I cupped my hands and after catching it, I took it to the smoking patio area and let it loose. It had only been on the ground for a couple of seconds when a sparrow swooped down and snatched it up. Birds have to eat, too. I couldn't help but chuckle on the way back to class.I have a Cooper's Hawk that watches my bird feeder. I can also tell when it's around because no birds in the feeder. One day this past summer, watching the birds, a morning dove buzzed my head like a jet while I was sitting under our open roof deck off the slider window and the dove flew around to the other corner of the house. Last thing I saw was a puff of feathers that followed a thump from the collision. Cooper got it's dinner. AMBUSHED..
I have had a couple of Solos that quit on me. They crapped out after being dropped. I'm very clumsy and have dropped them from varying heights. The Kayfun V3 Mini tanks that were on them also broke.
I have two more of the Ares 2 tanks on order through HealthCabin along with a few tank glass to replace broken glass. Like I said earlier, I am a clutz and spares are a necessity.
I still have 4 new Solos in my stash drawer along with the 3 that I have in rotation with Ares 2 tanks on them. Yes, I love the Solos and Ares 2 tanks.
Check YouTube, there are quite a few videos on how to open them and clean the buttons.
I think the 20w iSticks were junk but other than that I love my internal battery mods.I'm the same way with the Swag II I won not too long ago
