We've shared many a post on the NET thread but I've never seen you here before. Welcome.
I've never liked the HHV tobaccos, so I can't help with recreating them.
As @vaper1960 mentioned, Stixx Mixx makes very good NET extracts and has an extensive library of recipes, where you might find something. Good luck.

hi Newyork! I’ve never come here before because I’ve never tried DIY before! Well I kind of did in about 2009 when I added about 20% of some super concentrate into PG and it was so strong it put a pungent smell up my nose for weeks and put me off for nearly life.

I can make NETs but HHV really was never about the NeT base. It’s those sweet complex flavourings they used to top them with that I want to recreate and not so much the Purity line of nowadays but the way they used to be in their hey day.

I’m not surprised. Some vendors won’t give up any information even if they are going out of business. When Puresmoker went out of business I would have killed for the recipe for their silver leaf menthol. That was when I started mixing and eventually came up with something close enough that I still use it to this day.

I offered HHV money to give me ‘hints and tips’ to one or two flavorings in recipes they no longer use from several years ago and they wouldn’t even do that. Booty and Legend of today are not anything like those juices back then.

Do you ever use the polar? I almost forgot that I have one. I did like that one. The revenger was one of my favorites too.

I tested it out when I first got it. I won it in a contest on here. I haven't used it since I first received it, but it is a really nice mod. I just kind of got into a rut with using my Solos. I think I'll break it out today.

If the Senate and Trump had not signed it, then the government would have shut down. Not much choice for the Senate nor Trump, assuming they cared.

It was an end of the year, clear the house of leftover stuff and I am told it was from Mitch McConnell. I tend to believe that more the NP. He is from NC and that is where all that tobacco "dark money" is

I fall into the latter category.

Yeah I would never expect that Heather and Adam at HHV would give away their secrets. But people have tried to clone their recipes. I found this one with a quick search, but there may be others. I have not tried it so I'm just sharing the recipe.

Felicitous Friday, frothers.

Yesterday's predicted late night rain started about, uh, 10 am. I guess, though, since it didn't get heavy until the evening that they were, uh, close?

So you two got me thinking. I believe that you're on to something. I've been experimenting with all possible combinations of coils and devices and came to the conclusion that I prefer my S coils in the Sceptre after all. It's not that I dislike the Sensis--it's a perfectly capable Innokin device, works well, nice ergonomically. But I think that Innokin made a mistake--that device should have been made for the larger Z coils.

Another issue I have with Sensis is eliquid consumption. It takes me less time to empty that big 3ml Sensis pod than the 2ml Sceptre pod using the same coils at the same wattage. Not sure why, honestly.

Thoughts?

Maybe a difference in the openings for juice flow? Just a guess, since I have neither.

Yes, it was the LAST Congress that did it. As in Trump signed it after passing both Houses of Congress. What specific pol stuffed it into the spending bill is unknown to me, could have been either side... and it does seem that any last minute must pass bill is always stuffed with carp...

Other than showing the cats that, yes, it is raining outside both front and back doors.... rebuild a few tanks.

YEP - AGREED - Section added at the very last minute - didn't want to lose any "Tobacco support & Dark money" to the Republican party and more specifically his campaign . . . Just Sayin' . . .

There has been some discussion about HHV and whether they were using tobacco absolute in their NET's as opposed to a cold or heated macerated tobacco. I think you hit the nail on the head with your comment in regards to the hard part being getting the right "other" flavors though. Example: "Shadow" to this day remains one of the best vanilla flavors I have ever tasted.

Oddly, just before you came and checked out this thread, I brought up how Pirate's Booty came across more tea like when fresh, then evolved into sort of a spicy cigar flavor over time. A couple of folks here were saying black tea FA reminded them of tobacco.

Perhaps, and I only say this as it being a shot in the dark, finding out which flavors were available at the time HHV released their NET's may get you closer . There are a lot more flavors that have come on the market since.. I've often wondered if Shadow had a percentage of French vanilla deluxe TFA, vanilla bean ice cream TFA, and vanilla swirl TFA... I have found during my time mixing that those flavors have similar elements I tasted in Shadow.

Needless to say, it's going to be virtually impossible to get something exact. I have tried many cloned recipes since I began doing DIY and they have all (with the exception of two) fallen short of being like the original.

The pain level in my bad knee kicked up to a very sharp pain I could not even attempt to put any weight on yesterday. Standing in one place for a few minutes tended to make a couple of steps tolerable and It took me about 15 minutes to make it down about 6 feet of hallway. Thankfully no pain when I'm off my feet. Was not happy to find the same pain was still here this morning. ATM it seems to be better. I have fingers crossed on that.

No, I have not cloned it but did buy a Big Boy Pete (480mls) bottle of it before they went out of biz. I still have a little over 120mls. After about 300mls I finally got a little tired of it. lol
